    A car park at Arrow Valley Country Park will be closed next Tuesday morning, 11 October, while markings are put in place.

    The area, off Battens Drive, will reopen in the afternoon so residents "are urged to bear with us and park elsewhere during that time," Redditch Borough Council, external said.

    The Police Now campaign was first piloted in London and it's now being rolled out elsewhere.

    The two-year programme is similar to Teach First - fast-tracking graduates much quicker than normal applicants.

    A former footballer has begun an attempt to run and cycle to every Premier League and Championship stadium in two weeks - and tonight he comes into Worcester with a former teammate.

    Francis Benali (pictured above), who made more than 300 appearances for Southampton, will be finishing his latest leg at the cathedral later with ex-England international Matt Le Tissier. 

    Benali is aiming to run a marathon and cycle about 75 miles (120km) each day.

    He set off from Bournemouth a couple of days ago in the challenge to raise £1m for Cancer Research UK, external.

    Two women have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect after a two-year-old girl was found wandering on her own. 

    The girl was found in the Tolladine area of Worcester on Saturday morning. She was found to have no serious injuries and is now being cared for by family members. 

    The two women, aged 30 and 44, have been released on police bail.

    A 46-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of murdering a man in Worcester has been released on bail until 10 October. 

    The 48-year-old man's body was found at a property just off Tolladine Road on Monday morning. 

    A post-mortem examination was taking place today. West Mercia Police, external said it was remaining 'open minded' as to the cause of the death.
