  1. 'Extraordinary threat' of shells found near Worcesterpublished at 10:29 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2016

    A military bomb expert says any shells found at the old Norton Army barracks near Worcester could pose an "extraordinary threat". 

    Two shells were discovered at the site last week by rail workers and destroyed by controlled explosions. 

    Drainage work has been suspended while Network Rail carry out a ground survey to search for more unexploded bombs.

  5. Wye Valley hospital trust to share South Warwickshire chief execpublished at 09:20 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2016

    The trust that runs Herefordshire's hospitals has confirmed that it's to share its chief executive with South Warwickshire to try to improve standards in the county. 

    Wye Valley NHS Trust came out of special measures earlier this month but is still rated as "requires improvement" because of concerns about waiting times and staff training.

    Managers in Warwickshire have been working with Wye Valley for the last few months and its chief executive Glen Burley will now formally take over.

    Leaders have been at pains to stress this isn't a full merger - that Warwickshire and Wye Valley will continue to operate as independent trusts - just with a joint leadership.
