    Councillors have approved the recommendations to close three toilets and partly close two others in North East Lincolnshire.

    St Peters Avenue in Cleethorpes (pictured), Boating Lake in Cleethorpes and Garibaldi Street in Grimsby will close.

    Charges introduced earlier this year have failed to raise the money needed to keep all the public toilets open.

    A convicted serial killer has been found guilty of murdering Hull man Anthony Walgate by a 10-2 majority.

    Stephen Port, 41, from Barking, in east London, had already been found guilty of murdering three young men by poisoning them with lethal doses of a date rape drug.

    You're being asked to stay away from hospitals in north Lincolnshire today after an outbreak of a sickness bug.

    There is an outbreak of diarrhoea and vomiting on four wards at Scunthorpe and Grimsby hospitals.

    Spokesman Maurice Madeo said: “The infection prevention and control team is monitoring the situation and it is hoped to re-open the closed areas as soon as possible.”

    The jury in the trial of a serial killer accused of murdering a Hull man is yet to reach a verdict on that charge.

    Stephen Port, 41, from Barking, in east London, has already been found guilty of murdering three young men by poisoning them with lethal doses of a date rape drug.

    Anthony Walgate, 23, who was born in Hull, was studying fashion at Middlesex University. He was found dead outside Port's flat in the early hours of 19 June 2014.

    Port denies his murder and while jurors found him guilty of administering a substance to Mr Walgate, they are still deliberating on a murder charge.

    A closed meeting today could decide the future of Grimsby ice rink.

    At the meeting councillors will discuss the rink in Grimsby and the cost of the equipment used to keep it going. 

    But Grimsby ice hockey club who've put together a report on the rink's future is not allowed at the meeting.

    Nigel Land (pictured) is campaigning to stop North Lincolnshire Council allowing building work on land known locally as Top Field on the outskirts of Barton-upon-Humber.

    The council wants to allow the building of 70 homes, a supermarket and a new pub which they say will create jobs and boost the local economy.

    Local campaigners disagree and have started a petition which has 500 signatures.
