    The town council say the lights are damaged beyond repair.

    Historic buildings across Hull will have video footage projected on to them as part of the launch event for City of Culture.

    The Made in Hull display marks the start of the city hosting the year-long arts festival.

    Organisers said it would feature live video, archive footage, images and sound "to tell the story of the city and its people over the last 75 years".

    The event runs every evening for a week starting on 1 January.

    The government is being urged by businesses in our region to use British-made steel for major projects in the country.

    Six blocks of flats on the Washdyke Estate in Immingham will be knocked down, instead of the nine originally planned.

    It follows lengthy consultation by the social housing provider Shoreline with residents who were worried they wouldn't be able to stay in Immingham.
