    The manager of a holiday park in East Yorkshire says he's had no choice but to put rental rates up.

    A newsletter sent to regular renters at Burton Constable caravan park informed them that rents will be going up by 12%.

    A decision's due to be made later on whether household waste and recycling centres in Hull should close for two days each week.  

    Hull City Council says the move would save £100,000 a year.

    A public consultation showed the majority of people preferred this idea over the closure of one of the three sites in the city completely.

    It's the second day of a three-day closure of Ferensway in Hull as new traffic lights and crossings are installed between the Anlaby Road and Spencer Street junctions.

    Diversions are in place, with drivers advised to allow more time for their journeys, particularly at peak times.

    A campaign to remove Hornsea's Memorial Gardens from being a key part of the online Pokemon Go game seems to have worked.

    Local residents were concerned over the noise caused by players visiting the gardens, and also questioned whether it was appropriate for a war memorial .

    Now, the game's creators are to remove the so called PokeStop, where players pick up virtual equipment from the gardens.

    In September, Hull-based Pokemon Go player and blogger Dann Cook said he disagreed with the council's call for a ban, claiming "a tiny, few" players were causing the problems.

    A decision could be made in Hull today on whether the council should continue to investigate adding fluoride to the water supply in a bid to combat poor dental hygiene in the city.

    Public Health England has described fluoridation as a "safe and effective" public health measure.

    The plans have proved controversial, however, with campaigners calling it "mass medication".

    The proposal, by the ruling Labour group, is due to be discussed again at a meeting later today.

    The closure of one of Hull's major roads will be worth it, according to the manager of one of the city's shopping centres.

    Ferensway is closed to most traffic today and tomorrow, but will remain open for buses.

    Jim Harris, manager of the St Stephen's shopping centre, says it's all for a good reason:

    The Justice Secretary is due to meet a mother from Hull later whose stillborn baby's ashes were scattered without her knowledge.   

    Since Tina Trowhill found out what happened to her son William in 1994, she's launched the Hull Action for Ashes group and helped nearly 100 families.  

    There are calls for Hull City Council to hold an independent inquiry into the issue, but the authority insists it's investigated the incidents and there's no need.

    A couple of traffic hotspots are being reported in Hull at the moment:

    • There's queuing traffic and heavier than usual traffic on James Reckitt Avenue into town in Hull between the Gillshill Road junction and the Chamberlain Road junction
    • There's stop-start traffic on the A63 Hedon Road westbound in Hull between Southcoates Roundabout and Mytongate Roundabout in the roadworks area

    It'll be dry everywhere today, but rather cloudy at first for many places. However, cloud breaks will gradually develop to allow for some sunny spells. 

    Despite the sunny spells it'll be cold, with the highest temperatures along the coast - the the maximum temperature about 8C (46F).

    Drivers are being warned to make alternative travel plans as a major road into Hull is closed for road works. 

    Ferensway will stay closed until tomorrow night, with plans to reopen it in time for Wednesday morning's rush hour:
