Doctors at four East Riding GP practices say the consultation over the future of local minor injuries units should be halted.
The GPs at the Hedon, South Holderness, Eastgate and Church View practices, say the closure of the MIUs would go against the policy of providing care as locally as possible.
The doctors are also concerned about putting extra pressure on the Hull Royal Infirmary and the impact on ambulance response times.
East Riding Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) wants to shut the service, along with units in Withernsea and Driffield.
The CCG wants to concentrate care at new 'Urgent Care Centres' in places like Beverley and Bridlington instead.
They say these would have better facilities and be open for longer.
