Hull Kingston Rovers have been dealt a big injury blow with the news that full back Matty Marsh will be out for up to nine months after suffering a severe knee injury in training.
Marsh, who was earmarked to be the Robins' first choice full back in 2017 by new coach Tim Sheens, has sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury that will require surgery and a lengthy period of rehabilitation.
The news is a massive set back for the 20-year-old who only a couple of weeks ago said he was looking forward to claiming the number one jersey following the departure of Australian Ken Sio.
