    There will be more police on the streets in North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire in response to last night's suicide attack in Manchester which killed 22 people and injured 59.

    Humberside Police has released a statement this morning from assistant chief constable Andy Dyer.

    He said: "There is no information suggesting an imminent threat to our area at this time. We are taking all possible steps to keep people safe and to minimise the risk of a terrorist attack occurring in our force area.

    "The public will see an enhanced policing presence, including armed police, across Humberside as the UK police, together with security and intelligence services, work around the clock to keep communities safe."

    Humberside Police say they've met the organisers of BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend after a suicide bomber killed 22 people and injured 59 at a pop concert in Manchester last night.

    They say there isn't an "imminent" threat to our area, but they want to reassure people - particularly ahead of the Big Weekend event at Burton Constable.

    It will take place at the Minster's chapel at 12:30, it's been confirmed.

  8. Did you see Grimsby brawl?published at 11:10 British Summer Time 23 May 2017

    Two men have been arrested after a fight in Grimsby.

    The brawl, which happened on Stanley Street, ended with one of the men going to hospital after receiving a leg wound.

    Police say they want to speak to independent witnesses to the incident at 15:30 on Saturday 20 May to ascertain what happened.

    Both men, aged 25 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of affray and have since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

  10. Clean beach awards for Withernsea and Hornseapublished at 10:20 British Summer Time 23 May 2017

    Hornsea (pictured) and Withernsea beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag, the highest cleanliness accolade, by Keep Britain Tidy.

    The award indicates they meet the highest international standard of water quality.

    Ten other beaches have been given the Seaside Award, showing they are well maintained, including Bridlington and Cleethorpes.

    Acklams Coaches, which run from Hull and Beverley, took two coaches to and from the pop concert in Manchester where 22 were killed and 59 injured.

  12. OAP robbed at ATMpublished at 09:27 British Summer Time 23 May 2017

    A robber grabbed a pensioner as he was using an ATM in an attack yesterday.

    The incident, on Holderness Road in Hull, happened at around 07:15.

    The 70-year-old victim's white Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini phone was stolen in the incident.

    The victim was not hurt but was left shaken by the incident.

    Police describe the suspect is described as white, 6ft tall with a slim build and aged in his early 20s. He was wearing an all black tracksuit and a dark coloured baseball cap.
