    Business owners in part of Hull say trade is being affected by an ongoing problem with prostitutes in the area.

    An exclusion zone was created by Hull City Council in 2014 to try to stop sex workers from operating around Hessle Road, but traders say the number of women working in the area is on the increase again and crime is rising as a result.

    Hull City Council say they take the issue very seriously and will continue to work closely with Humberside Police and the relevant agencies to support anyone involved in prostitution to help reduce this type of activity.

    Teams from our area will showcase their work at the Chelsea Flower Show today.

    Students from Bishop Burton College have decorated an Indian taxi for the show, whilst two tonnes of pebbles from Flamborough's south landing beach are being borrowed for the Welcome to Yorkshire garden (pictured).

  4. Missing Hull mother Renata Antczak: Husband chargedpublished at 08:46 British Summer Time 22 May 2017

    The husband of a missing 49-year-old woman has been charged by the police.

    Renata Antczak (pictured) was last seen walking near her home in Beamsley Way in Kingswood, Hull, on 25 April.

    Her husband Majid Mustafa, 47, of Beamsley Way, and Robert Lipinski, 45, of Emerald Grove, Hull, are accused of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.

    They are also charged with conspiracy to administer a noxious substance.

    Humberside Police said the men would appear before Hull Magistrates' Court today.
