    1. People attending the Radio 1 Big Weekend in East Yorkshire are being urged to book a place on an official shuttle bus to travel to the site.
    2. Hull city will start their search for a new manager next week.
    3. East Yorkshire's Kyle Edmund will face Gastao Elias in the first round of the French Open.
    4. The streets of Hull will be filled with 'lindy-hoppers' over the weekend.
    5. The BBC's David Burns looks good in a wet suit.

    This evening it will be dry, warm and muggy with long clear periods. An onshore breeze near the coast may produce some mist.

    On Saturday any low cloud will clear quickly leaving a warm and humid morning. It will turn cloudy, with some thundery showers developing in the afternoon.

    Sunday will see the odd shower at first but it will remain mostly dry and feel cooler than previous days.

    A Hull Councillor has denied two counts of making indecent images of children.

    Steven Bayes,55, was suspended from the Labour Party in October after it "became aware of a police investigation into him", a party spokesman said.

    He was released on unconditional bail and is due to stand trial on 5 February 2018 at the same court.

    Mr Bayes was first elected in 1985 and was involved in Hull's bid to secure the UK City of Culture title.

    The streets of Hull will be filled with 'lindy-hoppers' over the weekend.

    Lindy Hop is a traditional form of dance that dates back to the 1940's and this weekend will see a number of workshops taking place across the city to celebrate World Lindy hop day.

    Enthusiast Beth Parnell thinks the workshops will give people an opportunity to experience something they might not normally consider.

    The UKIP leader Paul Nuttall has been campaigning in Grimsby today where he called for foreign aid to be scrapped and the money used to help fund the NHS.

    Election campaigning was postponed until today following the Manchester terrorist attack.

    Speaking to BBC Radio Humberside the UKIP leader said he's not sure the Prime Minister Theresa May will 'get the job done' over a strong brexit deal.

    A police officer responsible for alcohol licensing for Humberside Police , externalhas been sacked for gross misconduct after he was convicted of being drunk and disorderly.

    PC Gordon Underwood was sacked

    PC Gordon Underwood had served as an officer for fifteen years but received a criminal conviction in March at Hull Magistrates where he was also fined for obstructing three fellow officers.

    The parents of an East Yorkshire woman have each been sentenced to four years in prison for beating her with a hammer at their home in Bempton.

    The victim's mother Deborah Harrison, seen here walking, and her partner Jennifer Harrison, who is in a wheelchair, both of Railway Cottages, Bempton, were convicted of repeatedly hitting the victim with a hammer in July 2013.

    The judge at Hull Crown Court said it was perhaps the worst case of actual bodily harm he'd ever had to deal with.

    A vicar at Hull Minster says he is angry after learning that Hull street food nights in the future may not take place in the square outside the church.

    What would have been the second street food festival was cancelled and BBC Radio Humberside understands the next one will be in June and possibly in a different place.

    Speaking to David Burns this morning the Revd Matt Woodcock said it would be a huge shame for people who work to revive the old town.

    Ariana Grande is known for wearing the colour and released pink balloons at the end of her concert in Manchester which is why the students say they've chosen it.

    The Franklin College students say they want people to wear something pink to demonstrate acceptance of others and show unity against terrorism.
