    After making an epic journey into space, a portion of Hull's famous pattie and chips has been tracked down to a wheat field in Wragby, Lincolnshire.

    The pattie has landed

    It doesn't look too bad considering it soared more than 30km into the atmosphere before crashing back down to earth.

    It took a litte while to track it down, but the capsule carrying the pattie was still intact:

    The space mission was all part of a BBC Radio Humberside project to get more young people interested in science.

    A Scunthorpe steel mill has been rescued from administration after being bought by metals giant the Liberty House Group.

    Caparo Merchant Bar, which employs 145 people at two rolling mills in the town, went into administration in October 2015.

    Liberty House says it's confident the purchase will secure the future of the company.

    After soaring to more than 30km, a portion of Hull's famous pattie and chips has crashed back down to earth.

    The Operation Pattie team are now trying find it and they think it is somewhere in this field near Wragby in Lincolnshire.

    The dish was launched in to space as part of a science project by BBC Radio Humberside.

    A man has appeared in court, charged with the murder of a woman in Hull.

    Joanne Hemingway (pictured), 39, suffered serious injuries outside a flat on Beverley Road on Thursday and died later in hospital.

    Glenn Foster, 42, of Beverley Road appeared at Hull Magistrates' Court this morning.

    The case has been referred to Hull Crown Court, where Mr Foster is due to appear on Wednesday.

    He was remanded in custody.

    A new fund to tackle anti-social behaviour has been set up in North East Lincolnshire.

    Freeman Street, Grimsby

    Organisations that work to reduce violent crime and domestic abuse can apply for a share of £84,000.

    It is being funded by the Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner.

    There have been more than 30 dog attacks on postal workers in East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire in the past year.

    That's according to figures from Royal Mail, which is urging dog owners to keep their pets away from delivery workers.

    Clare Hardcastle has been working as a postie in South Cave for 19 years and has been bitten by dogs four times.

    She said dog owners need to take more control of their pets:

    A portion of pattie and chips, the famous Hull delicacy, will be launched into space this morning as part of BBC Radio Humberside's Space Mission.

    A high altitude weather balloon will reach a height of approximately 30km above the earth and will collect environmental data during its flight.

    The project is designed to inspire children in the region to become interested in science.

    Hundreds of professional astronomers will gather in Hull this month for The Royal Astronomical Society's national meeting.
