    Year six pupils at Westfield Primary in Cottingham made their own music video to Will.i.am's hit song 'Fiyah'... which he wrote in appreciation of British culture.. and he's told them he loves it!

    Hundreds of sunflowers in a display in the grass

    A hospice in Hull is celebrating 25 years of caring for people with terminal illnesses.

    Dove House Hospice was opened in 1992 by Princess Diana and has helped thousands of families since then.

    The anniversary is being marked with a display of 700 sunflowers at Burton Constable Hall.

    There are calls from the Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce for the government to scrap Humber Bridge tolls.

    It follows the news that tolls on the Severn Bridge Crossings (pictured) between Wales and England will go by end of 2018.

    The Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce argue that getting rid of the Humber Bridge tolls will increase trade in the area and add, that it was right for the future prosperity of Wales.

    A former Victorian boarding school in Brough is to be demolished.

    Campaigners originally won a court battle to save the building at the end of last year but today an planning inspector overturned that decision.

    Developers McCarthy And Stone want to replace 54 Elloughton Road with retirement flats.

    The group - Save Fifty-Four - have spent thousands trying to save the house.

    The tickets which went on sale at 10:00 this morning have now sold out.

    It's been 30 years since the Royal Ballet have been to Hull and their performance will launch the re-opening of the revamped Hull New Theatre.

    Hull is getting more colourful as rainbows keep appearing.

    It's to celebrate UK Pride which is being held in Hull, external over the next week.

    The party starts with a huge parade at 12:00 tomorrow outside Hull College which will launch the LGBT 50 with a series of events across the city.

    More pupils are expelled from schools in North East Lincolnshire than anywhere else in the country.

    That's according to new figures from the Department for Education.

    The Yorkshire and the Humber region also has the highest number of students who were suspended from school last year.

    A man from Goole's been charged with a suspected drink driving, external incident after colliding with a bollard.

    The 18-year-old was spotted on CCTV in York's Fishergate at around 03:15 this morning.

    He's been charged with failing to provide a breath test, dangerous driving and driving without insurance.

    A cyclist who died in a crash on Hessle Road, external on Monday morning has been named.

    Craig Beharrell who was 42 and from East Hull died at the scene of the collision involving a lorry.

    Police say he was an experienced cyclist who was wearing suitable clothing and a helmet.

    They're asking for anyone who saw Craig cycling along Hessle Road and over the flyover towards Hessle to get in touch on the 101 number.

    Plans for a 'super prison' in East Yorkshire have been given the go-ahead.

    East Riding Council planners today approved outline planning permission for a category C prison at Full Sutton near Pocklington.

    The jail could hold up to 1,000 prisoners.

    Local people had raised concerns about safety, but the government says it's working with the community.

    The Trust Board of Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust will look at options relating to the Urology and ENT departments next week.

    Clinicians at the Trust have said urgent action is needed because both of these services are facing critical workforce challenges, which are set to worsen in the coming weeks.

    Some of Britain's top cyclists will be in Beverley tomorrow for the elite cycling race.

    The race follows a circuit which goes through the centre of the town and over the cobbles.

    Thousands of people are expected to come and watch the race which will also be broadcast on Eurosport TV.

    The cycling gets underway at 18:00 on Friday 21 July.
