    A permanent home has been found for the wind turbine blade which became an art installation in the centre of Hull earlier in the year.

    A planning application has been submitted for the 75m blade to be mounted at the entrance of the Siemens' factory at Alexandra Dock in the city.

    More than 420,000 people interacted with the artwork during its 10 week stay in Queen Victoria Square.

    Grants of up to £2,000 are being offered to voluntary organisations in East Yorkshire that can steer young people away from drugs and petty crime.

    East Riding Council is offering the money to groups wanting to provide sporting and other activities.

    Organisations wanting to get involved are being asked to contact County Hall for accreditation.

    Detectives have charged a 53 year-old woman in connection with an ongoing murder investigation.

    Joanne Hemingway died following a disturbance on Beverley Road, Hull last month.

    Angela Burkitt of Beverley Road will appear at Hull Magistrates Court later charged with murder.

    It's understood a power cut struck the pumping station at Brocklesby Avenue in Immingham. Consequently four homes have been flooded.

    A specialist team that can carry out mud rescues in Cleethorpes is available to take its first call-out from today.

    In the past year and a half, the number of people and animals needing to be rescued from the mud in Cleethorpes has risen significantly.

    The coastguard has now trained a team of specialist officers and equipped them with more than £25,000 worth of kit.

    Senior Coastguard Officer Jamie King says changes to the beach made the investment crucial....

    Nearly 6,000 people have signed a petition calling for a Grimsby pub boat to be saved.

    The Barge, which has been docked in the same spot for 35 years, has been given a deadline to move by next June, to make room for a new £20 million pound shopping development.

    The owner says he is heartbroken, but wants to work with the council to find a solution.

    Heavy rain overnight has caused flooding across East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire.

    It's understood a number of houses were affected in Immingham and Grimsby where many roads were deep in water...

    We've also been told about localised flooding in parts of Flamborough, Bridlington,Withernsea and Cleethorpes.

    Police are appealing for witnesses after a black VW Golf and a silver Renault Clio collided on the A63 westbound on Saturday morning.

    Two people in the Clio suffered serious injuries.

    The driver of the Golf, a 30-year-old man, was arrested, questioned by officers and has been released as inquiries continue.

    Police want to speak to the driver of a silver Honda CRV who may have seen the collision.

    A worker who was crushed by a concrete slab died accidentally, a coroner has concluded.

    Keith Greatrex, 64, from Sleaford, was positioning the slab, which weighed more than a tonne, when it fell on top of him.

    He suffered multiple injuries to his legs, back and pelvis. It happened at Boiling Wells farm in South Rauceby last August.

    There's been a few minor issues with flooding due to heavy rain across the region today.

    Fire crews have been called to Croft street in the village to deal with a twisted pipe in the Holderness village of Great Hatfield.

    Humberside Fire and Rescue service tells us they've also been called to Ottringham where there are also concerns of flooding.
