    Humberside Police officers are continuing to surround a house in Scunthorpe after a wanted man climbed onto its roof this morning.

    Kyle Ferguson, who's wanted in connection with several "serious offences", has evaded arrest on several occasions and is currently on the roof of a house in Salisbury Close.

    Ch Supt Christine Wilson says the police operation at the site is "very extensive".

    "We've got a number of different staff with different skills down there, some of whom are in protective equipment. We've got negotiators down there, we've got dog officers down there," she says.

    "It's a very intensive operation but we're absolutely fixed on arresting Kyle and making the community safe."

    Anyone who witnessed an assault in Grimsby at the weekend is being asked to get in touch with police.

    A 43-year-old man was allegedly attacked outside St James Hotel in the early hours of Saturday morning, suffering bruising to his face and a cut to his head.

    Three men who were arrested on suspicion of assault have been released while investigations continue, according to Humberside Police.

    I was there to see the 10m-high Solar Gate sculpture being lifted in to place in Queen's Gardens in Hull in the early hours of this morning.

    The artwork is etched with key dates in Hull's history which will be highlighted in turn by the movement of the sun.

    Designed by architects Tonkin Liu, the £310,000 structure was moved to Queen's Gardens after the original planned site in the city centre was rejected by councillors.

    Up to 100 jobs are expected to be created at a new mushroom growing facility in East Yorkshire.

    Family firm Hughes Mushrooms, which is based in Northern Ireland, is behind the multi-million pound investment at Holme on Spalding Moor.

    The production area will cover an 11-acre site near Howden, with the first crop of mushrooms expected to be ready for harvest by late September.

    Emmet Hughes, the firm's business development director, says: "We searched all over the UK and the site at Holme on Spalding Moor was ideal because of its existing agricultural heritage and strong transport links."

    Two people have been arrested following a raid on a house in Goole this morning.

    Humberside Police say Class A drugs were seized at the property on Eastgate.

    A 42-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman from Goole were arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply and are in police custody.

    A landlord in Scunthorpe claims his is the luckiest pub in the country after he and a group of friends won £1m on the Lottery.

    Ian Brooke (pictured in the middle above) , who runs The Mallard pub, is one of the Lottery's latest winners alongside mates Andrew Enefer and Rashad Own.

    Mr Brooke started playing the Lottery after two of his other regulars, David Long and Kathleen MacKenzie (also pictured), twice won £1m in just two years.

    He says: "The Mallard has to be the luckiest pub in the UK, if not Europe. Three big National Lottery wins in four years - it is absolutely amazing."

    Honey made by bees on the roof of a Hull shopping centre will soon be handed out to the public.

    Thousands of bees live in three hives set up on the roof of the city's Prospect Centre.

    It's believed to be the first rooftop bee colony to be set up in Hull city centre.

    Its busy (or should that be buzzy?) inhabitants have now produced their first batch of honey.

    A boy has been taken to hospital after he injured his arm on a fence in Brough.

    Yorkshire Ambulance Service said they were called to the incident near the Blackburn Leisure Centre at about 17:00 yesterday.

    The air ambulance attended, but the boy was eventually taken to Hull Royal Infirmary by road.

    The extent of his injuries is not yet known.

    Kyle Ferguson, who's wanted by police for several "serious offences", remains on the rooftop at a property in Salisbury Close.

    A police cordon remains in place with local residents being warned to keep away from the scene and that public transport routes in the area may be affected.

    The force says its officers aim to resolve the situation "at the earliest and safest opportunity".

    Parking at hospitals in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole will cost more from next month.

    Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust says it's putting prices up by 10p - from £2 for one hour to £2.10.

    The trust's director of estates and facilities, Jug Johal, says it's the first increase in parking charges since 2015.

    "The majority of the money we receive in fees from drivers is invested to pay for security and maintenance of our parking services to keep patients and staff safe while on our sites," says Mr Johal.

    The trust says the £2 fixed rate for blue badge holders will remain the same and concessions for long-term users and cancer patients will continue.
