There's relief among sports clubs in Hornsea who were afraid they'd be thrown out of their leagues.

Geoff Whitehead at the Hollis Recreation Ground in Hornsea.

A shortage of trustees at the charity which manages Hornsea's playing fields, meant clubs might have to stop using the facilities.

The clubs could have played elsewhere, but those grounds don't meet football and cricket league standards.

Geoff Whitehead (pictured) tells us the future looks brighter, now more volunteers have been found to help run Hollis Recreation Ground in Hornsea.
