We shouldn't see a repeat of the hard frost that we had this morning, but there could be some patches by dawn.

  4. Lincolnshire to benefit from British Xmas tree boostpublished at 17:12 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2017

    Linsey Smith
    Journalist, BBC Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire Christmas tree firms are expected to benefit from a Brexit boost this year.

The cost of importing European fir trees is rising because of the decreasing value of the pound.

The British Christmas Tree Growers association says it expects more families to buy British this year because of the cost.

This week, tree growers in the county are chopping down tens of thousands of festive firs .

And although it's a busy time of year, grower George Overton says it's also a "lovely time".

    Quote Message

I enjoy this time of the year greatly, looking back. At the time it's very hectic trying to cut the biggest amount of trees in the shortest space of time but when the trees are leaving the shop and the families are leaving the shop, and you get a break right at the end it's a lovely time of year really.

The officer, who has not been named by the force, allegedly went through the footage at "inappropriately high speed" in February 2015 and could have "missed vital evidence".

It is one of three allegations due to be put forward at a misconduct hearing on Tuesday.

Standards were breached between February and November 2015, Humberside Force claims.

During that period, the officer is also accused of lying about reviewing all the CCTV material in the rape case and failing to "identify the victim and two suspects on the footage".

The officer faces accusations they claimed to a supervisor they had contacted the Crown Prosecution Service and were waiting for an appointment to discuss the case, which the force said "was untrue" because no such request had been made.
