    The fate of up to 400 jobs which are on the line at BAE Systems in Brough are due to be discussed in Westminster today.

    Company representatives and union bosses will discuss the impact the company's restructuring could have at a defence committee meeting this afternoon.

    Unions have said they want to see a continuation of Hawk jet manufacturing in the UK.

    People who "pre-drink" before heading on a night out are causing such a concern in North East Lincolnshire that the council is taking action.

    Statistics from the authority show that about half of all crime committed in the area is linked to alcohol.

    Now, the council's launched its Think Safe, Drink Safe campaign to encourage people not to drink as much at home before they go out.

    The family of Lewis Skelton, who was shot by Humberside Police in the city last year have released a statement as the IPCC completes its investigation into the fatal shooting.

    Neither us nor or our clients are aware of what the IPCC’s final conclusions are, and await the publication of those findings in the hope that they do answer their many questions as to what happened that day... Lewis’ family are also mindful that even though the IPCC have now finalised their investigation, this is not the end of the full investigation into Lewis death as there is still the coronial process and any relevant hearings to take place."

    A murder trial's begun after a woman died following an incident on a street in Hull.

    Joanne Hemingway (pictured) died after an attack on Beverley Road in July.

    53 year old Angela Burkitt is accused of her murder. Today at Hull Crown court she pleaded not guilty.

    The trial continues.

    An investigation into the death of a Hull man who was shot by police in the city last year has concluded.

    The Independent Police Complaints Commission was asked to investigate the circumstances that led up to the shooting of 31-year-old Lewis Skelton.

    Today the IPCC has said no misconduct notices have been issued to any police officers during their investigation. It'll be sharing its full findings with the force in the next few days.

    Work is due to begin in the new year on a £1.2 pound development to the west of Scunthorpe.

    The Lincolnshire Lakes project will see 6,000 houses built in North Lincolnshire over the next 10 years.

    Building work will start today on a new women's centre in Hull to replace the current site (pictured).

    The Preston Road Women's Centre offers specialist help for domestic abuse survivors, sexual health advice and has a registered nursery.

    The new £1.6m facility is being built on land off Preston Road and is expected to open next summer.

    There's a warning today that people in Hull could end up being fined for putting the wrong waste in their blue recycling bins.

    The council says it's an area it may explore in the future if the issue doesn't improve.

    Assistant City Manager at the local authority Doug Sharp says some residents just need education, but others are deliberately contaminating their waste.

    Week 10 of 'Strictly Come Dancing' and sadly for us, Grimsby dancer Kevin Clifton is out of the show.

    He and partner, Scottish comedian Susan Calman picked up just 21 points for their American Smooth to Beyond the sea.

    They also finished last in the pasodoblethon and we're sent home by the judges.
