    Quote Message

I've got mixed views. We want fight, we want grit and vigour in this Championship, but a lot of the players have a lot to answer for. If only the players kept their heads."

Nigel in New Wortley, Leeds United fan

    Quote Message

I'm disappointed. It seems to be a trait in the Championship that managers come and go so quickly."

He was convicted of 19 offences and given an indeterminate sentence for public protection.

Police believe he may have carried out more than 100 rapes and sexual assaults.

    McGill

But Mr McGill says he's only prepared to pay all of it if the Supporters' Trust hands over its 25% stake.

It's expected that Burton Lane Working Men's club will be packed for the AGM tonight and the trust is asking anyone who is planning on going to get there ahead of the start at 19:30.

No decision on whether the trust should hand over their 25% share will be made, but Jason McGill has asked for a show of hands to demonstrate the feelings of those in attendance.

The club has sacked Christiansen while it believes there's still a chance of achieving its goal of making the play-offs.

The Danish-born Spaniard, who arrived as an unknown quantity last summer after a successful period in Cyprus, made a blistering start at Elland Road, leading the side on a 10-match unbeaten run.

A series of poor performances and results then followed, which suggested he and his new squad hadn't adapted sufficiently to the rigours of Championship life.

He survived that and results did improve, but after winning on Boxing Day at lowly Burton, United haven't run a game in a run which included an FA Cup exit to Newport County.

All eyes will now be on a successor who can be appointed quickly to work with a squad low in confidence.

  11. Listen: Tragedy prompts safety lessons for York studentspublished at 07:24 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2018

Officers from York St John's Students Union will offer crisps, bottled water and safety advice to people at the end of their nights out.

It's after a number of people, some of them students, have died after falling into the rivers Foss and Ouse since 2010.

Annie Severn, one of the student union's presidents, says the campaign was prompted by a tragedy:
