Read MoreInvestigations are continuing following reports of a fight at a school in East Yorkshire last week which led to a teenage boy being taken to hospital.
Police officers were called to the school on Friday morning and the teenage boy became unconscious shortly after the incident.
The boy was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Two teenage boys were arrested in connection with the incident and both have been released on bail while inquiries continue, police say.

The blaze at Cottingley Towers started at about 10:40, with four people being rescued by West Yorkshire Fire Service.
At its height, 35 firefighters were at the scene, but no serious injuries were reported.
A meeting's due to be held later to address problems at Fir Vale School in Sheffield following a fight outside the school gates last week.
More than 15 police vehicles, dog teams and a police helicopter were sent to deal with the incident which happened last Tuesday afternoon.
Two people were hurt and the school, in Owler Lane, was closed following the fight between a group of students.
Two patients were treated at the scene with minor injuries, Yorkshire Ambulance Service said.
The incident lead to an increased police presence in the area.
Parents, teachers and the police are expected to attend the meeting.
At least two people have been arrested during an armed police operation in Leeds this morning.
A large section of Roundhay Road in Harehills was closed off causing delays for motorists and commuters.
Armed police were seen on the streets.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the fire just before 10:40 and sent six fire engines.
The tower block was evacuated by fire crews, but reports from the scene suggest the blaze was tackled quickly and brought under control.
The 1822 notebook of the Stockton and Darlington Railway was found in an archive in York.

People living at a tower block in south Leeds have been led to safety after a fire broke out there this morning.
The blaze, on the 20th floor at Cottingley Towers in Beeston, started at about 10:45.
The tower was earmarked to be retrofitted with a sprinkler system by Leeds City Council following the fire at Grenfell Tower in London in last year.
The fire appears to be under control and no injuries have been reported.
More now on the news the Archbishop of York has said he will retire from his post in June 2020.
Dr John Sentamu says he's making the announcement now "to provide the Church of England with the widest possible timeframe to pray, discern with wisdom and insight and put in place a timetable for my successor."
He was appointed in 2005 as the first black person to hold the role in England.
Anglican clergy usually retire at 70 - Dr Sentamu has been given an extension and will retire shortly before his 71st birthday.

Smoke from a fire at a tower block in Leeds has been seen across the city this morning.
The blaze broke out at about 10:45 at Cottingley Towers in the south of the city, prompting a large response from the emergency services.
It's not yet clear if there have been any injuries, although the latest pictures from the scene appear to show that the fire is under control.
Dr John Sentamu has announced that he will retire as Archbishop of York on 7 June 2020.

Yorkshire have signed Nottinghamshire opening batsman Will Fraine.
The 22-year-old, who has agreed a three-year deal at Headingley, was part of the Yorkshire academy before moving away to go to school and university.
Having played first class cricket for Durham MCCU, he joined Notts in May and hit 30 against Surrey in the County Championship in July.
Martyn Moxon, Yorkshire's director of cricket, told the club website: "e's a talented young batsman."
A crackdown on cyclists riding in the dark without lights has been launched by police in York.
Bike riders in the city are being warned they will be fined £50 if they fail to use bike lights.

A planned new business park in Hull will bring significant investment to the region, the company behind the development says.
Local residents can get a first look today at the proposed 453-acre development at Humber International Enterprise Park in east Hull.
Port operator ABP says it wants to work with the local community so people can help influence the design of the site.
The plans are on show at Hedon Town Hall today and Paull Village Hall on Wednesday.

A 68-year-old cyclist is in hospital after being hit by a van which was then driven away without stopping at the scene in North Yorkshire.
The cyclist was taken by ambulance to Lancaster Royal Infirmary with a suspected back injury after being knocked off his bike on the A65 between Clapham and Austwick in North Yorkshire.
The incident happened at about 13:35 on Thursday.
The driver of the white van failed to stop after the incident and police want anyone who saw what happened, or who has dash cam footage of the van involved, to contact them.
