    Rory Johnson Hatfield, from Skipton, vanished on a night out in the city on 19 November 2015.

    Officers have been tweeting real-time sightings of him, coinciding with his movements from three years ago, in the hope someone comes forward with information.

    Police are urgently trying to find a 12-year-old boy missing from Bradford.

    Arkadiusz Grabowski was last seen at the Laisterdyke Leadership Academy school in the city at 15:00 on Monday.

    He's described as 5ft 2ins tall, of slight build and has brown hair.

    He was wearing a black and red school blazer and black trousers.

    Anyone who sees him is urged to contact the police straight away.

    The house where the artist lived from the age of four until he was 21 is on the market for £140,000.

    The Hockney family lived in the four-bedroom house on Hutton Terrace for 50 years, before his mum sold up in 1993.

    He painted portraits of his family and himself in the house before going to art college in London and finding fame.

    Last week, the artist broke the auction record for a work by a living artist.

    A brain injury survivor from Hull who is also living with terminal cancer has been shortlisted for a national award.

    Susan Kyle (pictured with her husband John) is going to London for the ceremony after being nominated for brain injury charity Headway's volunteer of the year award.

    Mrs Kyle, who has raised thousands of pounds for the charity, has responded modestly to her nomination.

    She said: "I won't be wanting the champagne or the cocktails. Give me a mug of tea anytime."

    The Sheffield City Region deal is "the priority" for Yorkshire devolution and must be up and running before other arrangements for the county will be considered, the communities minister has pledged.

    Barnsley Labour MP Dan Jarvis has been the mayor of the Sheffield City region since May, but he's not been able to allocate cash for improvements to transport and to boost the local economy as a deal has yet to be struck.

    Communities Minister James Brokenshire has now said that the govenrment needs to help Sheffield City Region's community to start benefiting from the extra money on offer.

    Mr Brokenshire said: "The priority needs to be getting the Sheffield City Region up and running, delivering for that community and people getting behind that deal, making it happen."

    Police have closed a main route in and out of Leeds after a man was found in the street with serious injuries.

    Ambulance crews raised the alarm at about 15:15 after they were called to Roundhay Road in Harehills.

    A man was found seriously hurt at a parade of shops near Lambton Grove and is now undergoing treatment in hospital.

    Police received a report at about 15:30 of a different man attending hospital with a stab wound to his arm. He has been arrested in connection with the first incident

    A cordon remains at the scene and that section of Roundhay Road is closed while enquiries continue.

    York City boss Sam Collins says he's "as frustrated as anyone" at the club's fall down the National League North and is having to deal face-to-face with the fans' frustrations.

    Just over two years ago, the club was in League Two, the fourth division of the football league, bu now it plays in National North, two leagues below, following back-to-back relegations.

    Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Altrincham saw City drop to 17th, the club's lowest ever position in its 96-year history, leaving it just three points away from the relegation zone.

    It was too much for one supporter to take as he charged onto the pitch to confront Collins before the end of the match.

    Collins says: "I'm as frustrated as anyone, but it doesn't look very good on us as a football club for someone to run on the pitch.

    "If they want to shout and show their frustration that way, that's absolutely fine. But he's just going to get himself in trouble for doing that. I'm a quite a big lad as well, so he's got to be careful."

    A man has been banned from every pub in York for five years.

    Emlyn Thomas, 37, was given the order following several convictions for anti-social behaviour, abusive behaviour and being drunk and disorderly over the past six months.

    For the next five years, Thomas, of Sutton Way in Clifton, York, is banned from:

    • Entering any on-licence premises in the city of York
    • Drinking in any public place in the city
    • Possessing an open container of alcohol in the city
    • Being drunk and disorderly or incapable in a public place
    • Entering any commercial premises he is banned from, or remaining on commercial premises after he has been asked to leave

    A school in South Yorkshire at the centre of a row over plans to make nine dinner ladies redundant has been criticised for spending £2,000 on a school dog.

    Union representatives said Ladywood Primary School's decision to fund the dog was "a waste of money" and "an insult" to those facing redundancy.

    Dinner ladies at the school, in Grimethorpe, near Barnsley, have been on strike for 29 days.

    Ladywood's school dog, which is owned by the head teacher, was introduced in June 2017.

    According to a Freedom of Information request submitted by trade union Unison, the school has spent £2,170 training the animal to date.

    The school declined to comment on the issue but said talks were ongoing.

    A 17-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with the murder of a teenager in Halifax.

    The crime scene at East Park Road, Ovenden, Halifax.

    Jamie Brown, 17, died after being stabbed in East Park Road, Ovenden, on 27 October.

    The teenager who's been charged, who cannot be named due to his age, was remanded at Leeds Magistrates' Court and is due to appear at the city's Crown Court tomorrow.

    Five other people arrested in connection with the incident remain on bail.

  16. Serious criminals face ban on becoming taxi driverspublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2018

    People convicted of serious criminal offences, including violence and terrorism, could be banned from becoming a taxi or minicab driver in parts of Yorkshire.

    Currently, people convicted of these crimes and others, including drink and drug-driving, can still apply for a licence after a certain time has elapsed and only once they've completed their sentences.

    But members of the public are now being asked to have their say, external on a proposal to introduce higher and consistent standards for Hackney carriage and private hire licensed drivers who have been convicted of offences.

    Bradford, Calderdale, Leeds, Kirklees, Wakefield and York Councils are proposing a policy which will provide a common legal position, meaning drivers who've committed serious criminal offences will never be licensed.

    This tweet shows how a drugs stash was buried in a plant pot - and whoever hid them there was "snout of luck" after a police dog sniffed it out.

    Dame Judi will receive the Richard Harris Award for her outstanding contribution to British film.

    The Oscar, Bafta and Olivier-winning actress says: "It's been a privilege to spend almost 60 years working in the industry."

    Dame Judi grew up in the Heworth area of York and attended The Mount, a Quaker boarding school for girls.
