A well-known British actor, writer and comedian has been named as a patron of a Rotherham-based literary charity.
Mark Gatiss, best known for his roles in Sherlock and League of Gentleman, was appointed as a patron of Grimm and Co.
The charity is based in Rotherham town centre and hopes to help to improve literacy levels across Yorkshire and the Humber.
“When I visited Rotherham during the recent League of Gentlemen tour, I was overwhelmed by the hard work, imagination and sheer joy which Grimm and Co bring to their mission", Mr Gatiss said.
"In these dark times, they are a beacon of light.”
