    Kacey Williamson was reported missing in the Beeston/Belle Isle area last night.

    She's since been found "safe and well", according to police.

    Officers have thanked people for sharing their appeal.

    A £72m plant which will turn human waste into electricity is due to be opened in Leeds later.

    Yorkshire Water's sewage site at Knostrop will turn the waste into fertiliser, while biogas which is created can then be turned into electricity.

    Ben Roach, from Yorkshire Water, says the plant will recycle about 94% of the city's sewage.

    "This is a facility that reduces our demand on the environment by the generation of huge amounts of renewable electricity," according to Mr Roach.

    "It converts the old fossil fuel process into a new kinder-to-the-environment process.

    "On many days this site is completely self-sufficient by the energy it generates itself."

    Officers say they are "concerned" for the welfare of Kacey Williamson who is believed to be somewhere in the Beeston/Belle Isle area.

    Kacey is described as having a fair complexion, blue eyes, and long brown and blond hair.

    When last seen, she was wearing checked trousers and a short lilac jacket.

    Anyone who sees her is being asked to contact the West Yorkshire force.

    England 's match against Norway kicks off in Le Havre at 20:00.

    The UK's largest power station has been awarded £500,000 by the government to investigate new technology that could generate electricity without adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.

    Drax, near Selby, will use the money to trial a special kind of fuel cell that captures CO2 before it reaches the air.

    This gas would then be used to help grow plants.

    The experiment is expected to be completed before the end of the year.

    Northern Ireland forward Conor Washington has signed for Hearts after his release by Sheffield United.

    Washington joins on a free on 1 July after a season with the Blades.

    The striker made 16 appearances without scoring last term as the club won promotion to the Premier League.

    He joined United for £2.5m last summer after 14 goals in 98 games across two-and-a-half seasons with QPR in the Championship and has also played for Peterborough and Newport County.

    Police officers have been granted special powers to stop and search anyone in a town near Doncaster following a stabbing last week.

    The Section 60 order gives South Yorkshire police officers the power to search anyone in Edlington until midnight on Friday.

    It's after a 27-year-old man was stabbed in the arm last Friday.

    It's hoped the order will deter people from carrying weapons.

    Taxi-hailing app Uber has agreed out-of-court settlements with two women who were sexually assaulted by one of the firm's drivers.

    The victims, who did not know each other, were picked up by Naveed Iqbal on different evenings in Leeds in December 2015.

    Both said he assaulted them in the front seat of the vehicle.

    Lawyers Irwin Mitchell said it was the "first known case of the kind in the UK" against Uber.

    Leeds City Council started an investigation into claims Mr Iqbal used his brother's Uber driver login while he was away and assaulted the women.

    It found the account did belong to the brother, but he was in Pakistan at the time.

    A judge said [Naveed Iqbal] carried out the attacks "on the balance of probabilities", Leeds Crown Court heard in November 2017.

    No criminal charges were brought but he lost his private hire licence and was told to pay £1,500 in fees.

    Will Vaulks has completed a move from Rotherham United to Cardiff City on a three-year deal for a fee believed to be worth an initial £2.1m.

    Cardiff saw off competition to sign Vaulks, 25, whose former club Falkirk will receive a sell-on fee as part of the deal that saw him join Rotherham in 2016.

    After making his international debut in March, Vaulks won his third Wales cap in the recent 2-0 Euro 2020 qualifying defeat to Croatia.

    "I'm really looking forward to playing regularly at Cardiff City Stadium after getting a taste of it at the Slovakia match," Vaulks said.

    "It's great to be playing for the biggest club in Wales just six months after my first international call up."

    Student numbers at Arkengarthdale primary school are "unsustainable" according to the county council.

    Affected pupils will be encouraged to go to a school 3.5 miles away.

    North Yorkshire has more "small schools" than any other area in England, with 50 schools having fewer than 50 pupils, the authority said.

    A lurcher has been rehomed after spending 578 days in kennels - thought to be the longest time a dog has been kept by the RSPCA.

    Three-year-old Gary spent nearly half his life at South Godstone Animal Centre in Surrey after his original owners gave him up, the charity said.

    The RSPCA said as far as it was aware Gary had broken the record for its longest-staying resident.

    He has been rehomed by a couple from Castleford - over 200 miles away.

    During Gary's stay, another 194 other dogs were rehomed before a suitable offer was made for him, the animal charity said.

    James Herriot's All Creatures Great And Small is to be adapted for a new TV series and Christmas special ahead of the 50th anniversary of the original publication of the books.

    The episodes will film on location in Yorkshire later this year, Channel 5 has announced.

    The books of real-life veterinary surgeon James Alfred Wight, published under the pen name James Herriot, chronicle the adventures of a fictional young country vet.

    First published in 1970 the stories follow the cast of farmers and townsfolk who lived and worked in the Yorkshire Dales in the 1930s.

    The books were originally adapted for television by the BBC and ran from 1978 to 1990 starring Christopher Timothy (pictured above).
