Councillor Siddons says he wants more information about any deal struck by the previous Conservative administration and the Ryedale-based attraction before any decision is made.

It comes after plans were announced to not automatically respond to alarms in shops and offices, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

Automatic fire alarms for hotels, hospitals and high-rise flats would still warrant a fire service response.

The plans will be discussed at the service’s governing Fire Authority on Monday.
