The number of homeless people dying in Yorkshire is at its highest since records began, new figures have shown.
Across the region 70 people died in 2018, up from 49 the year before, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
There were 15 homeless deaths in Sheffield last year, trebling the number the year before.
In Leeds, there were 12 deaths in 2018, up from 10 the year before.
Meanwhile, York saw five homeless people die last year, which is one down from 2017 figures.
There was also a decrease in Hull - nine homeless people died in 2018 compared with 12 the year before.
The ONS says more than 700 homeless people died across England and Wales - the highest number since statistics began being compiled in 2013.
