Police have released a new photo of a 16-year-old Leicester boy who's been missing since Thursday.

Abdul Madgid Fares was last seen in his Leicester home, and officers are becoming "extremely concerned" about the teenager's safety and welfare.

Leicestershire Police appealed for information on his whereabouts on Friday, but have released a new picture of Abdul in the Nike tracksuit he was last seen in.

PC Jo Insley said: "Abdul is not in any trouble and both his family and ourselves just want to ensure he is OK and is safe.

"We are urging Abdul to make contact with family, police or another trusted adult to let us know this."

Things are going to be more unsettled over the course of the week.

People across the East Midlands will be waking up to bright and sunny spells, but later on cloud will move in from the south west and we could see some thundery showers.

There will be highs of 29C, and tonight there will be lows of 15C.
