A review by Lincolnshire's Safeguarding Children Board into the death of Alex Robinson has concluded that "it couldn't have been predicted or prevented".

The nine-year-old from Lincoln was drowned in a bath by his grandfather Stewart Greene two days before Christmas 2014.

    Alex Robinson

Greene had been angry with Alex's mother, who refused to let him live with her following his discharge from a mental health unit just 12 days before.

During the trial, Alex's mother told the court she'd pleaded with staff at the mental health unit not to let her father out.

He was jailed for life last November.

Today's report by the Safeguarding Board concludes that Greene is "the only individual responsible for the death".

You may remember the news that the Sir Joseph Banks Conservatory - named after the famous explorer - had to be dismantled and moved from its home on the Lawn Complex in Lincoln.

The Woodside Wildlife Park near Langworth stepped in and said they wanted to use it house exotic animals like crocodiles or red pandas.

This is what it looks like at its new home, 3,000 nuts and bolts, 5,000 screws, two miles of joint tape and a good scrubbing later.

Sir Joseph would be pretty happy with that I reckon!
