Lincolnshire's Wildlife Trust says it's concerned what impact the closure of an animal rescue centre will have.
After 27 years the Weirfield Wildlife Hospital in Lincoln, pictured below, is to stop taking animals in at the end of this month.
Last year it rescued more than 2,500 creatures including birds, hedgehogs and foxes.
Rachel Shaw from the Wildlife Trust told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "There are a couple of individuals who will take in other wildlife to look after, but they really don't have the capacity.
"Weirfield nurse animals back to health so they can be released back into the wild again."

The leader of Lincolnshire County Council says new measures to plug a funding gap in social care aren't right.
The government's agreed to allow local authorities to bring forward council tax rises.
But Martin Hill says he wouldn't be comfortable in increasing council tax to pay for adult social care.
Quote MessageI don't think expecting council tax payers to solve this problem is the correct way. Central government need to come up with a mechanism where it comes out of central funding.
