    Lincolnshire's getting £35 million from the government to improve it's roads. 

    The Department of Transport, external is handing the county one of the highest amounts in the country. 

    The money will be used to improve safety, repair potholes and cut congestion.

    Eight dogs, including five puppies, have been stolen from a small caravan site in Burgh Le Marsh.

    They're all Lurchers and it happened sometime between 10:00 and 18:00 last Friday.

    An RAF Sentinel surveillance aircraft will be flying over Lincolnshire later to check for any damage to flood defences after this morning's high tide.

    This morning's high tide wasn't as bad as feared and passed without incident. 

    100 soldiers are still in Skegness and Louth 'warning and informing' residents about the risk of flooding. 

    Twenty flood warnings remain in place on the Lincolnshire coast.

    Graham Taylor will be remembered with a minute's applause at football matches this weekend.

    The former England manager who grew up in Scunthorpe and whose career included spells at Grimsby Town and Lincoln City died on Thursday at the age of 72. 

    All 35 games in the Football League will pay tribute. 

    Lincoln have also confirmed a minute's applause will also be held at their FA Trophy match at Gateshead tomorrow.

    A man arrested in connection with an incident in Skegness yesterday lunchtime has been charged. 

    Robert Gaydon, 49, from Alexandra Road, has been charged with attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon. 

    He's due before Lincoln Magistrates Court today.

    A string of flood warnings remain in place in Lincolnshire this afternoon amid fears thousands of homes are at risk from a storm surge during this evening's high tide. 

    This morning's high tide wasn't as bad as feared and passed without incident.

    Now we've all made it through this morning's tidal surge with little bother, some people are starting to say the authorities overreacted in their response to the forecasts.

    We've looked into it and police say they're dealing with the aftermath of a crash on Ropery Road. The vehicles involved are currently being recovered.

    With flood warnings still in place in the Humber region, North Lincolnshire Council says it'll be replenishing supplies of sandbags in at-risk areas.

    Another high tide is expected later on today.

    • East Marsh Road, Goxhill
    • Barrow Road, New Holland

    Soldiers from 2 Yorks Battalion, usually based at Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire, are staying in Skegness today just in case there are problems with the high tide this evening.

    Focus is now turning towards the next high tide on the east coast at about 18:00 amid worries over a possible storm surge.

    This morning's high tide in Lincolnshire passed without incident.
