    Cloudy and cold with more widespread sleet and snow showers overnight. 

    Some significant snowfall is possible over the higher areas, with lower levels perhaps seeing some temporary local accumulations. 

    The cold feel will be accentuated by strengthening winds.

    A Dispersal Order will be put in place for 48 hours after a tip off that hare coursers may be arriving in the county.

    The order gives officers the temporary powers to tell people from outside the county to leave an area.

    Extra officers will be patrolling the county as well.

  11. Police car damaged during missing person search in Grimsbypublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2017

    A police car has been damaged on Grimsby's Nunsthorpe estate while officers were out looking for a missing person.

    They found the person safe but when they came back to their vehicle they found that bricks had been thrown at it.

    It happened on Winthorpe Road at around 16:30 on Tuesday 7 February. 

  12. Intended arson victims 'left house before fire was started'published at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2017

    Humberside Police say the intended targets of malicious fire at a house on Frodingham Road in Scunthorpe left before the arsonists attacked.

    Two men were seen leaving the property and the police are keen to speak to them to confirm their safety. 

    The incident took place on Wednesday night and a woman, who was rescued from a house, remains in hospital receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

    There are a few problems being reported on Lincolnshire's roads at the moment:

    • Slow traffic on the A15 in Owmby-by-Spital between the Normanby Cliff Road junction and the Owmby Cliff Road junction in the roadworks area
    • Slow traffic on the A15 Main Road in Thurlby at the Church Street junction in the roadworks area
    • The A46 in Usselby remains partially blocked and there's heavy traffic northbound at the Moor Road junction because of an overturned car 
  15. Lincoln man fined £1,500 for rubbish and dog dirt in gardenpublished at 12:23 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2017

    A Lincoln man whose garden was in such a state that neighbours couldn't leave their doors or windows open because of the smell has been ordered to pay almost £1,500.

    Oliver Mountain, of Claremont Street, Lincoln, let rubbish, old furniture and dog mess build up in the garden of his rented property in Anderby Drive over several months.   

    After his neighbours complained to the council about the smell and the swarms of flies being attracted to the property, he was given 14 days to dump the rubbish at a tip but failed to do so.

    At a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, he was found guilty in his absence and given a £300 fine.

    He was also ordered to pay £200 costs, a £30 victim surcharge and £907.94 to cover the costs of cleaning up the rubbish – a total of £1,437.94.

    There's heavy traffic northbound on the A46 in Usselby because a car has overturned and partly blocked the road. 

    The accident is at the Moor Road junction.

    We told you yesterday that shoppers in Sleaford were trying to hold on to their Argos shop - it's under threat because the site it's based in has been bought out by new owners

    Yesterday Argos confirmed they are keen to stay in the town and it's now understood that they're considering two options

    The first is opening a smaller kiosk in Sainsbury's, the second is opening a store in the Riverside Shopping Centre.

    Last week it was announced the Lincoln Business Improvement Group were going to start operating a park and ride from the car park of the Waitrose to three stops in the city centre.

    Now we've got a few more details to share with you.

    It's going to operate from Monday to Saturday every 15 minutes with the first bus leaving the car park just before 07:00 and the last returning at 18:20.

    Parking at the Waitrose will be free and a return fare will cost £2.50. 

    It'll use combination of dedicated vehicles alongside existing local bus services.
