    If you live in South Kesteven you're being asked to help in the Great British Spring Clean.

    Community groups, businesses, parish councils and individuals in Grantham, Marston, Dry Doddington and Westborough are already planning picks.

    Here's a picture from the campaign last year that attracted 250,000 people nationwide.

    The initiative runs from Friday 3 March to Sunday 5 March.

    All equipment will be provided.

    You're being asked to choose a favourite design for a city centre sculpture to celebrate famous mathematician George Boole.

    The Heslam Trust hopes to install the bronze monument at a central location in Lincoln - potentially in the area of the new transport hub. 

    Two sculptors – Martin Jennings, external and Antony Dufort, external - have submitted proposals and now it’s up to the public to decide which they would rather see.

    Who was George Boole?

    • Born in Lincoln on November 1815
    • Self-taught mathematician - recognised as forefather of the information age
    • Awarded the Royal Medal for Mathematics in 1844
    • Became first Professor of Mathematics at Queen's College, Cork in 1849

    You may have seen this.....it may look like a shed...and it is...(sort of)

    It's a new initiative by Compassionate Lincoln and brokers at Lincoln Mortgages and Protection. 

    They've installed a community coat rack, people donate the coats, and then people in need help themselves on chilly nights.

    Gainsborough Trinity chairman Richard Kane says he's been impressed with the number of e-mails and letters he's received for the vacant manager role.

    He says he hopes to have a new management team in place before the double-header against Gloucester City and Curzon Ashton next weekend.

    The Blues are looking for a new manager after Dom Roma handed in his resignation following the club's home defeat against Alfreton Town.

    Mr Kane says: "There've been some very interesting candidates to think about and it has been a good challenge identifying the people that I – and the board - want to talk to. 

    "What is vitally important is that the new man that comes in understands what we are trying to build here and will complement our standing in the community and help drive us on," he adds.

    Seven fire crews were called to hotel near Grantham earlier following reports of a chemical leak. 

    It happened at Belton Woods Hotel just after 07:00 this morning. 

    No one is believed to have been hurt.

    The A18 near Ludborough is closed following what police say is a "very serious" two-car collision between Beesby and Whytham.

    It happened just before 11:00 and involved a car and an HGV.

    The road is closed and is expected to remain so for some hours.

    Motorists are asked to avoid the area and follow diversions.

    One of Lincoln's iconic imps is under threat. 

    The mischievous devil has been outside the Lincoln Imp pub in the city for years and is a welcoming sight for many in the area.

    But now the pub is about to be turned into a frozen food supermarket. 

    Tonight, City of Lincoln Council will discuss the future of the frontage of the old pub.

    If you have any old photographs of Grantham - they can be sent in to South Kesteven District Council, external and where they will be copied as digital images for future generations to enjoy.

    Grantham Civic Society have dealt with over 1,000 photographs and slides of the town, run workshops to identify the images and document their subsequent social history.

    They include photos and artefacts over three centuries to bring to life the town’s development and how it has changed.

    Take a look at this. It's the plot where a partly buried house will built be in North East Lincolnshire.

    The house at Hatcliffe near Grimsby will be built partly of concrete made from recycled waste from the Scunthorpe steel works. 

    Part of it is designed to emulate a traditional Lincolnshire barn.

    There are fears that free range eggs may soon be unavailable on supermarket shelves. 

    A North Yorkshire producer has told the BBC that if bird flu restrictions continue - they'll have to re-label their eggs as being from a "barn".

    It comes as people are being reminded they could be fined up to £5,000 if they don't keep their chickens indoors.   

    There have been three cases in Lincolnshire in the past two months - the latest involved a farm near Boston with around 20,000 birds.
