    A 63-year-old man has been killed after being struck by a train at Claxby and Usselby level crossing in Lincolnshire at 18:00 last night. 

    British Transport Police has not released the dead man's name.

    It's feared that Icelandic fishing strikes are affecting jobs at Grimsby's fish market.

    It's not yet known how many jobs are affected but Martyn Boyers, the chief executive of Grimsby Fish Market, thinks the strikes could have a long-lasting impact on the industry.

    Something to bear in mind if you're crossing the border to Cambridge this morning.

    The A47 in Wansforth is closed in both directions with queuing traffic between the A1 Great North Road junction and the Wittering turn off.

    Three cars and a lorry have been involved in a crash and recovery work is under way.

    Campaigners who want to save a heart unit used by sick children in Lincolnshire are heading to Downing Street with a petition of almost 130,000 signatures.

    NHS England wants to close the department at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester because it says standards aren't being met.

    If you're heading home - here's a few things to look out for...

    • A1 Lincolnshire partially blocked and very slow traffic northbound at Dry Doddington turn off due to accident.
    • A18 is closed and slow traffic in both directions between the Grainsby Lane junction and the Salters' Lane junction because of an accident involving a car and a lorry.
    • A43 - congestion around Station Road, Stamford.
    • B1451 - congestioon around Grand Parade in Skegness.
    • A52 - congestion around Frampton Place in Boston
    • B1174 - congestion around A607 Broad Street, Grantham
    • A16 - Lincolnshire northbound - congestion at Weelsby Road, Grimsby

  13. Tunisia inquests hear "simple cowardice" caused police delaypublished at 17:15 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2017

    The inquests into the murder of 30 British holidaymakers in Tunisia in 2015, including three from East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, has heard that armed police guards in the area could have stopped the attack at the very beginning.

    Claire Windass from Hull, Bruce Wilkinson from Goole and Carly Lovett from Gainsborough died when a gunman attacked a beach resort in Sousse. 

    Today the inquest at the Royal Courts of justice heard that the police's refusal to intervene was down to "simple cowardice"

    A partially buried house is to be built in North East Lincolnshire after being given the go-ahead by planners. 

    The house, at Hatcliffe near Grimsby, will be built partly of concrete made from recycled waste from Scunthorpe steel works. 

    Part of it is designed to emulate a traditional Lincolnshire barn.

    A man has been killed in a collision on the A18 near Ludborough.

    The road remains closed between Beesby and Whyam because of the incident involving a car and an HGV lorry.

    It happened at around 11:00am today.

    Motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
