    South Yorkshire Police say four people have been arrested for "aggravated taking without consent" after a police pursuit through Lincolnshire.

    The pursuit ended with the car crashing through barriers at a level crossing in Langworth on 2 March.

    A 16-year-old and a 15-year-old were both taken to hospital after the crash.

    The driver of the car was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

    A new leader is expected to be appointed to a Lincolnshire council, after its leader stood down after 16 years in the role.

    Councillor Marion Brighton stepped down as the leader of North Kesteven District Council due to ill health earlier this month.

    Tory councillor Richard Wright (pictured) is expected to be made the overall leader in a vote next week.

    Do you remember this? It was the damage done to a building by thieves who were after the cash machine.

    It was an attempted ram raid on the local shop in Donington (near Boston).

    The offenders failed in their attempt to steal the cash machine from the shop but left the stolen tractor embedded in the building.

    Six months on, the shop has finally been repaired at a cost of over £200,000.

  10. Calls for balloon ban on the coastpublished at 17:43 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2017

    There are calls for Lincolnshire's councils on the coast to join a voluntary ban on balloon releases in the local area. 

    The Marine Conservation Society says there's been a 50% rise in the amount of balloon litter on the UK's beaches between 2015 and 2016.

    More than 50 authorities have joined the voluntary ban but Emma Cunningham - Pollution campaigns officer - says the problem appears to be growing:

    NatWest has announced it is closing the branch in the town on the 26 September.

    They say it's been a difficult decision but banking has changed radically over the last few years and transactions have declined in the branch by 32% since 2011.

    This a further blow for the town after it was announced  the HSBC branch would be closing.

    A British Railways Standard Class 4MT came through Lincoln today while on a journey from the National Railway Museum in York.

    The 60-year-old locomotive is heading to the North Norfolk Railway at Sheringham and the glorious weather has made for some fantastic photos.

  17. Traffic and travel: B1190 closed after crashpublished at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2017

    The emergency services are at the scene of crash on the B1190 at Doddington. 

    A Mini and an Audi were involved with one car catching fire.

    The road is now closed as officials inspect the surface that has been damaged by the fire.

  19. Jail for addict who burgled birthplace of Margaret Thatcherpublished at 14:22 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2017

    A man who stole a handbag, a purse and £20 from the birthplace of Margaret Thatcher has been jailed for two years. 

    Lee Gray, 35, of Commercial Road, Grantham broke into a corner shop in North Parade. 

    The former Prime Minister was born in a bedroom above the shop in 1925. 

    Gray, who is addicted to crack cocaine, was in the middle of a 10-day crime spree when he smashed through the window to gain entry to the premises on 19 January. 

    A cleaner was working in the building at the time but didn't hear Gray because she was operating a vacuum cleaner.

    He was sentenced today for his crimes at Lincoln Crown Court. 

  20. Brave dog saves life of Dachshund in need of emergency blood transfusion published at 13:50 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2017
