    Emergency services and the air ambulance are attending a crash on the A15 between the Holdingham roundabout and the A153 roundabout, near Sleaford. 

    The crash happened at about 14:15 and involves two cars and a caravan towed by one of the cars. 

    Police say there's been one serious injury and the road is closed in both directions.

    There's been no suggestion that any MPs have been injured during the incident in the capital this afternoon. 

    Police say they're  treating the attack as a terrorist incident "until we know otherwise".

    More on the terror incident in London this afternoon which has seen a police officer stabbed in the Houses of Parliament, as well as reports of as many as five people being "mowed down" on nearby Westminster Bridge.

  5. Parliament incident: Cleethorpes MP 'heard shots'published at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2017

    By now, you may have heard the breaking news from London  about an incident near Parliament.

    Martin Vickers, the MP for Cleethorpes, was in the building at the time and has just told me that he and his group were heading towards the Division Lobby to vote when they suddenly heard what sounded like gun shots. 

    Security staff told them to run in the opposite direction. 

    They were evacuated from the building and currently can't get back in.

    Scotland Yard has also confirmed officers were called to a firearms incident on Westminster Bridge amid reports of several people injured.

    The trust which runs hospitals in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole has been put into financial special measures.

    NHS Improvement, which oversees foundation and NHS trusts, says it is designed to help trusts which are struggling to meet their savings plans.  

    In a statement, Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Hospitals Trust, says: "Despite our best efforts to reduce our deficit, our financial position has continued to deteriorate over the year and has recently worsened due to the significant pressures on our services.

    "We welcome this additional support and are determined to reduce our deficit while maintaining local services for patients."

    Now, like any local radio station we do the occasional "lost pet" story, however usually said pet doesn't end up in our office!

    As I was walking to work through the Newport area of Lincoln I came across this sweet little boy, wandering around on his own. There are cars in that area so I brought him back to BBC Radio LIncolnshire towers just to be safe. 

    He's very friendly and as tempting as it is to keep him as a newshound we'd like to reunite him with his owner!

    A 30-year-old man has been left seriously injured after being attacked by two men in broad daylight on Swinburne Road, Westcliffe.

    It happened just after noon on Monday 20 March and the victim had to be treated in Scunthorpe General Hospital for injuries to his face.

    Police want any witnesses to get in touch with them. 

  13. Community spirit highlighted in premiere of Bradford City fire film published at 12:37 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2017

    A film telling the story of the role of the community living close to Valley Parade at the time of the Bradford City fire has its premiere today.

    The fire that took place on 11 May 1985 claimed the lives of 56 fans and left more than 265 injured.

    Tragedy struck during the final football match of the season between Bradford City and Lincoln City.

    The 12-minute film, which explores the experience of the local residents who helped when tragedy struck, has been produced by Bradford City Community Foundation’s Unheard Voices project. 

    Its premiere takes place at Shapla Community Hall, just yards away from the stadium, at 13:30.

    The B1168 Raven's Gate is partly blocked in both directions because of an accident. 

    Recovery work is under way but allow some extra time if you're heading that way.

    A man's been charged with aggravated burglary in Gainsborough. 

    The police say Clinton Sentance, aged 36, of Gainsborough will appear before magistrates after an incident on Portland Terrace on Sunday night where a 75-year-old man was tied up, threatened with a knife and robbed.

    The victim later managed to free himself but injured his hand in the process.

    Detectives are continuing to investigate similar incidents with elderly victims.

    A development plan that includes 1,400 homes, a new care home, three schools and a GP centre has been given planning permission by North Kesteven District Council. 

    The application was submitted for a stretch of greenfield land between the western edge of the town and the A15.

    North Kesteven District Council made the decision yesterday evening. 

    The vote was 29 councillors in favour, one voted against and one abstained.

    Lincolnshire Police are preparing to welcome Fire and Rescue into their office this morning, from today they're each going to have their official headquarters in Nettleham. 

    It's called the Blue Light Collaboration Programme and later on this year work will begin on a new site in South Park, Lincoln that can accommodate ambulance staff as well.

    Plans for a new stadium for Grimsby Town have moved a step closer.

    The developer behind the plans, Extreme Leisure, has been given the go-ahead to put in a full planning application by North East Lincolnshire Council.

    The plans include a 14,000 seater stadium, leisure facilities and new homes at Peaks Parkway.
