    You're in luck, because Lincoln's 10K has officially sold out of tickets:

    The run takes place this Sunday and takes in the city's landmarks including the Cathedral and Castle.

    If you're looking to beat last year's runners, you'll have to finish it in under 30 minutes and 28 seconds.

    Or alternatively, have an ice cream in the historic Bailgate in the city... it's your choice.

    A 22-year-old man has suffered what are being described as life changing injuries after an attack in a Grimsby car park earlier in the week.

    Humberside Police say that three men wearing balaclavas and carrying weapons were involved in an altercation with the man in a car park off Albert Street in the town (pictured below) on Tuesday.

    Plans for a new shop in Swineshead, near Boston, would bring 14 new jobs to the village if they're approved.

    Lincolnshire co-op want to build a £1.6m pharmacy and shop in the village, which would have a bakery, hot food, cash machine and other services.

    Experts say they've found artefacts from almost every historical era while digging under the site of Lincoln's new bypass.

    Among the finds are up to 300 skeletons in what's described as an Anglo Saxon burial ground, 20,000 flints and tools dating from 10,000 years ago, a Roman Villa and a rare Bronze Age cremation vessel.

    The seven-acre site between Washingborough Road and the River Witham is being scoured ahead of the construction of a new railway bridge.

    Archaeologists say the scale of the discoveries they've made is far beyond what they'd predicted.

    Ports across the UK and Europe have been alerted as part of an investigation to find a missing mother from Newark, and her two sons.

    42-year-old Samantha Baldwin - who has connections with Lincolnshire - has no legal custody of Lewis or Dylan Madge.

    Volunteers at the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway are currently working to get a hundred year old steam engine up and running:

    It's hoped that 'The Jurassic' will be ready to take to the rails in time for the summer season.

    But people there say that they need some younger volunteers to help keep the railway there for future generations.

    • She was described as being 5ft 7in (1.7m) tall of a slim build with shoulder length, highlighted blonde hair and green/blue eyes

    • On Tuesday night police said all UK ports and airports were on alert for the missing family
    • At a press conference last night, police confirmed they were treating the investigation as abduction and said Ms Baldwin didn't have legal custody of the boys

    People living on the Humberston Fitties have found out who the site's preferred bidder is.

    The Tingdene group is the favourite to take over, after the council put it up sale last year.

    The Tingdene group will now negotiate with the council over the lease.

    Sadly we only really see the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance crews on the scene of very serious accidents.

    But today we've been talking to the newest member of the team who says his new role is "a dream come true".

    Pilot Llewis Ingamells says his new job was a childhood ambition.

    But he always thought it was a military operation. 

    When he discovered that civilians could get involved, he started training as soon as he could.

    Fifty-seven people owe their lives to lifeboats in Lincolnshire according to new figures released by the RNLI.

    Fourteen more people were rescued in 2016 than the year before.

    The figures also show that rescue boats were launched from Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe and Skegness a total of 99 times in 2016. 

    In 2015 they were launched 71 times.

    Most of the incidents happened in Cleethorpes, 32 were rescued there.

    Sixteen were rescued by Skegness crew and nine were saved from seas near Mablethorpe.

    As the search for a missing Newark woman and her two sons enters a fourth day, police have revealed they're treating the case as abduction.

    At a press conference last night, Supt Rich Fretwell said Samantha Baldwin, 42, did not have legal custody of Lewis Madge, 9, or Dylan Madge, 6. 

    Two women, aged 62 and 36, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and have been released on police bail in connection with the abduction investigation.

    Supt Fretwell said detectives had carried out searches of properties, studied CCTV footage and used number plate recognition technology in the search.

    Over 8,000 yellowbellies joined in the RSPB's campaign to document the amount and types of birds in our gardens this year.

    House sparrows remain the most common sighting - they were spotted in 82% of gardens. 

    Sightings of starlings leaped up to 65% - an increase of 37% from last year, making them the second most common in Lincolnshire.

    Blackbirds fell to third place in our county despite the fact that they're top of the pack nationally - 97% of those in the UK surveyed spotted one.
