    Fans are being warned that parking will be limited for Lincoln City's home tie against Macclesfield at the weekend. 

    The Stacey West car park will be closed and South Common is out of action because of the April Pleasure Fair. 

    Lincoln City Council's asking fans to use public transport or plan well ahead of the match.

    A Lincolnshire School is leading the way by offering support to pupils who are young carers. 

    Lacey Gardens Junior School in Louth runs a Young Carers in Schools programme. 

    They're sessions where children can come together and discuss their experiences. 

    Lincolnshire County Council is aware of around 1,100 young carers in Lincolnshire - but Barnardos think there could be more.   

  4. Stolen flags replaced at Bomber Commandpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 20 April 2017

    Last month a flag and flagpole were stolen from the site of the International Bomber Command Centre on the top of Canwick Hill in Lincoln. 

    A lot of people were upset that had happened and couldn't understand why anyone would do that. 

    This afternoon, pupils from the William Alvey School in Sleaford were on site to present the centre with two new flags.

    Imps fan Jordan McClaren has booked a last minute trip to see Lincoln City from Perth, Australia in the hope they will win promotion this weekend. 

    He emigrated in 1989 but has continued to follow the fortunes of the club. 

    He hasn't got a ticket for Saturday's match against Macclesfield - but says if he can't get one he'll watch it in a pub in Lincoln.

    Mourners have packed out Alford Crematorium to pay their respects to an old soldier from Lincolnshire with no known relatives.

    An appeal was made for people to attend the funeral of veteran Robert Neale from Belchford after it was feared no one would attend.

  7. Lutton deaths inquest - updatepublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 20 April 2017

    An inquest in Boston has been hearing more details about the death of a couple from South Lincolnshire. 

    The bodies of Lawrence and Bernice Williams, who were both 49, were discovered at a house in Lutton near Spalding last week. 

    Police told the inquest that the body of  Mr Williams was found in a stable block by his eldest son who was home from university. There were no suspicious circumstances. 

    Bernice William was discovered two days later beneath a carpet underlay in a front room of the property. 

    Her death is being treated as suspicious. 

    The inquest was opened and adjourned while further investigations take place.

    Siemens plans to relocate its gas turbine plant from Freeman Road to a new building at Teal Park in Lincoln creating new jobs.  

    The German engineering giant has just announced a £35m expansion.

    The move is being welcomed by the local council.

    The inquest into the death of a couple in southern Lincolnshire is due to open this afternoon.

  15. Big turnout for funeral of ex-soldier with no familypublished at 11:22 British Summer Time 20 April 2017

    The funeral of a Lincolnshire veteran who died with no known relatives is taking place today in Alford. 

    Robert Neale from Belchford died a few weeks ago aged 88. 

    His neighbour Samantha Curtis was concerned that, with no family, only a few people would be at his funeral. 

    She put out an appeal to people who knew Mr Neale to come and pay their respects.

    This poor little lamb was having a very baaaad day after she fell 10ft into a muddy well in her field in Lincolnshire.

    The RSPCA was alerted to the lamb’s plight by a walker who heard her desperately bleating for her mum in the deep, stone well in the middle of a field off Green Lane, Woodhall Spa.   

    An RSPCA inspector managed to get her out by climbing down onto a ledge in the well shaft and reaching down to scoop her up. 

    She was given a quick check over and as she didn’t have any injuries, was released to join the rest of her flock and most importantly her mum.

    A shop worker's been treated for facial injuries after being assaulted during an armed robbery in Louth. 

    The police say it happened in Costcutter just after 22:00 last night. 

    The offender removed the till drawer. A knife was recovered at the scene.

  20. Plans approved to change East Lindsey car parking chargespublished at 09:02 British Summer Time 20 April 2017

    Plans to change car parking charges in East Lindsey will come into effect this summer. 

    It'll include bringing in charges after one or two hours at free car parks in Alford, Sandilands, Spilsby, Tattershall and Coningsby. 

    The changes will be monitored over a 12-month trial period.
