    There are hope jobs could be created by a major investment from Siemens in Lincoln. 

    It's spending £35m to move and expand its operations at Teal Park. 

    The City of Lincoln Council has welcomed the news.

    The Yorkshire & North Lincolnshire MEP Mike Hookem has told Radio Humberside that he'd be keen to stand as an MP in Grimbsy. 

    Mr Hookem who is also UKIP's fisheries spokesperson is hoping to be chosen as the preferred candidate for his party.

  14. Christmas cards arrive 16 months later on Easter Saturdaypublished at 17:06 British Summer Time 19 April 2017

    Christmas cards posted in 2015 by a Ruskington woman have finally turned up at their destinations... just in time for Easter 2017.

    Brenda Simpson, who lives near Sleaford, sent 82 cards to friends across the country, but they never arrived.

    However, she was told by the recipients they had only just received them on Easter Saturday. One containing a £10 note is yet to turn up.

    Royal Mail said it was investigating the matter.

    The pensioner added she would not be sending Christmas cards this year "because they've already received them".

    A woman has been airlifted to hospital after a bungalow fire in Skegness.

    Crews were called to Finisterre Avenue just before 09:00 this morning.

    The blaze has since been extinguished and a fire investigation launched.
