    Well for the young people who're in the middle of all their exams, it's all the more important to get the day off to a good start!

    Following the Manchester bombing on Monday and the UK threat level being raised to critical, Lincolnshire Police are telling gig-goers to expect extra security checks this weekend.

    If you're going to Radio 1's Big Weekend in Hull or two big planned music gigs , externalon the Lincolnshire Showground you'll need to allow extra time.

    Inspector Mark Garthwaite from Lincolnshire Police says you shouldn't be alarmed if you see armed officers.

    A superbike racer from Lincolnshire says the state of the county's roads is appalling.

    Lincolnshire County Council says it's fixed more than two hundred thousand potholes in the past two years.

    The Lincoln City full back Sam Habergham has signed a one year extension to his contract.

    Habergham made 56 appearances for the Imps last season as they won promotion back to the Football League and reached the quarter finals of the FA Cup.

    Community groups, businesses, farmers and schools will find out today if they've won a Lincolnshire Environmental Award.

    The panel of judges is being chaired once again by the environmentalist Professor David Bellamy.

    The awards, which are organised by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, began 25 years ago - and today's winners will be presented with their awards at a ceremony in Lincoln later.

    If you're heading to the Lincolnshire coast this bank holiday weekend then you're being urged by the RNLI to think carefully before jumping into the sea.

    It's as research has shown that the sudden immersion into cold water can put people into cold water shock- which can trigger the instinctive reaction to swim hard and possibly drown.

    Instead they say you should try to float until the effects of shock pass.

    Gainsborough Trinity bosses have announced they'll welcome their near neighbours Doncaster Rovers as the highlight of their pre-season fixtures.

    Prices are still to be confirmed for the match, which will take place at the Northolme on Monday, 31 July. The National League proper begins on Saturday 5 August.

    The organisers of the Scampton Airshow have announced that the Royal Canadian Air Force has agreed to send one of its jets to the event.

    The CF-18 Hornet fighter will be part of the static display at RAF Scampton for the show, which will take place on 9 and 10 September.

    Show director Paul Sall says the history between Lincolnshire and the Royal Canadian Air Force is "undeniably strong" with many RCAF personnel based in the county in the Second World War.

    Scenes like this were reflected across the county this morning as people observed a silence for the victims of Monday's suicide bomb in Manchester.

    Twenty-two people were killed and 64 injured after suicide bomber Salman Abedi detonated a homemade device at Manchester Arena.

    Manchester's council invited people "to pay your respects to those we lost".

    A 50-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries after being found at a house in Gainsborough.

    Police say he was discovered in Salisbury Street in Gainsborough at around 11:30 yesterday morning.
