    Two lovebird councillors are planning their wedding following a very public proposal.

    Martin Trollope-Bellew popped the question to his long-term partner during a Lincolnshire County Council meeting.

    He was making his final speech as Chairman of the authority when he told the meeting that he and Councillor Rosemary Woolley had been close for years.

    There was much excitement around the launch of the Lincoln Knights' Trail at the weekend.

    The Tourist Information Centre says it was surprised by how many people came to take the leaflets to complete the trail challenge.

    The trail features 36 individually designed statues for people to find across the city centre.

    It's all part of the celebrations for the 800th anniversary of the Battle of Lincoln.

    Lincolnshire growers are once again competing at the Chelsea Flower Show.

    The Queen and Prince Philip are touring the gardens today with the event opening to the public tomorrow.

    John Cullen, from Algarkirk near Boston, is one of those taking part. He specialises in plants which attract bees and butterflies.

    Pupils and parents are learning CPR at Sturton by Stow Primary School today as part of BBC Radio Lincolnshire's Save A Life campaign.

    The radio station is aiming to teach 10,000 people these vital life saving skills.

    You'll be able to put questions to the developers behind plans for more than 100 homes in Swinderby as part of a public meeting later.

    Representatives from the developers Bloombridge will be there along with members of the parish council.

    The plans include housing for the elderly, a community car park and shop.

    A £16m project to upgrade visitor facilities at Lincoln Cathedral is now under way.

    It will include building a new café and shop as well as redeveloping the grounds.

    Around £800,000 still needs to be raised.

    The Lincolnshire Co-op at Branston is open for business today, despite a ram-raid at the weekend.

    Police believe a JCB was used to remove the ATM from the wall, causing substantial damage.

    The Co-op says repair work will take place over the next few weeks.

    Police are appealing for witnesses.

    Student numbers are falling at Lincoln's University Technical College but senior staff remain confident of its future.

    The college, which offers courses in engineering, maths and technology to young people aged 14-19, can take up to 600 students.

    Only 214 are currently registered.

    Principle Paul Batterbury says "We'd love more to come here, but we only want them to come here if this is what they want to do, and that's our dilemma."

    Police are continuing to investigate a ram raid at a Lincolnshire Co-op store.

    It's believed thieves removed an ATM from Branston with a JCB in the early hours of Sunday morning.

    It's the latest in a series of similar crimes across the county over the past few months.
