    BBC Radio Lincolnshire was planning to hold a live election debate in Grantham this morning ahead of next month's vote - that's now cancelled because of the events in Manchester.

    It comes after all general election campaigning across the country was called off by the main parties.

    At least one of our candidates, Gainsborough's Sir Edward Leigh, has also announced he won't be on the doorsteps this morning:

    An investigation is under way after an ambulance was involved in a collision with a car near Boston.

    It happened on the A52 at Friskney just before 09:00 this morning.

    East Midlands Ambulance Service say four people were taken to hospital and the air ambulances was called to the scene.

    No one was seriously injured.

    Almost 200 pupils and parents have been learning CPR at Sturton by Stow Primary School today as part of the radio station's campaign.

    People in Lincolnshire are being reminded of the deadline to register to vote in the general election.

    The Electoral Commission says around seven million people aren't on the register.

    Eligible voters have until midnight to submit their details.

    A drug dealer who assaulted a policeman at Grantham Railway Station has been sent to a young offenders institution for two and a half years.

    Sandro Pires Dos Santos was stopped for a drugs search.

    He had to spend five days in hospital after eating a number of plastic bags containing heroin and cocaine.

    The 19 year old of no fixed address admitted four charges at Lincoln Crown Court.

    Martin Trollope-Bellew popped the question to his long-term partner during a Lincolnshire County Council meeting.

    He was making his final speech as Chairman of the authority when he told the meeting that he and Councillor Rosemary Woolley had been close for years.

    Damage to a village store near Lincoln is being assessed following a ram-raid.

    A cash machine was ripped from the wall at Branston Co-op in the early hours of Sunday morning.

    The offenders used a JCB to target the ATM.

    Police are appealing for information and the store is open for business.
