    The Queen has outlined the government's programme of business for the next two years at the State Opening of Parliament.

    The company that have been looking after the traffic for the Lincolnshire show have responded after hours of delays hit visitors and commuters alike.

    They've developed robots to help fruit pickers which could be seen in our fields in two years.

    The police say they're becoming increasingly concerned for a Lincolnshire man who's gone missing from Grimsby hospital.

    Peter Whitlam was last seen on Monday. He is from Alford, but had been living in Mablethorpe prior to his admittance to hospital.

    The 68-year-old was wearing pyjamas and has bruising to his face following a fall.

    A 67-year-old man from Boston has been convicted of the murder of his disabled neighbour.

    Vidmantas Svedarauskas had denied killing Manfred Jaedke.

    The 61-year-old was a wheelchair user after having a leg amputated and he was recovering from a stroke.

    His body was found in his bungalow on Porcher Way the day after the pair had been seen drinking together.

    He'd been subjected to a sustained assault and was found with 65 injuries.

    The jury at Lincoln Crown Court took just over an hour to return a guilty verdict.

    Svedarauskas has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced tomorrow.

    Overcrowding, hazardous and unsafe rented accommodation won't be tolerated.

    That's the message from West Lindsey District Council.

    Yesterday they used council powers to check living conditions on Trinity Street.

    The authority, which checked nine properties, says it will be serving notices and carrying out emergency works to address some of the issues found including significant fire hazards.

    North East Lincolnshire council is looking for somebody to run the Cleethorpes Carnival next year.

    It's been running for 41 years and is a big draw for visitors to the resort with thousands coming each year.

    It's not happening this summer as nobody could be found to organise it.

    Next week Cabinet will be asked to approve plans to appoint an event organiser.

    As temperatures are set to sore over the weekend, the East Midlands Ambulance Service are advising people to stay safe., external

    Last weekend they received over 1,100 999 calls from people in Lincolnshire, compared to 930 the weekend before.

    People were treated for fainting, dehydration and heat exhaustion - which are being put down to the hot weather.

    As another heatwave comes they're advising people to stay hydrated and out of the sun in the hottest part of the day, and to go to their local pharmacy or GP if it's not urgent.

    Radio Lincolnshire is trying to get 10,000 people in the county trained in CPR as part of our Save a Life Campaign.

    And we can now announce that 5,000 people have now learned the life-saving skill.

    A major redevelopment of St Mark's shopping area in Lincoln could be given the go ahead later.

    The £150m development would involve demolishing much of the existing retail park to create more shops and restaurants, as well as a hotel and flats and a car park of more than one thousand spaces.

    Developers Standard Life Investments say they expect it to generate up to 2,000 new jobs in Lincoln and improve links between the High Street and the university.

    The City of Lincoln planners have recommended it for approval as long as the developer gives something back to the community including a play space, affordable housing and highway improvements.

    Putting on the Lincolnshire Show is always a huge operation.

    With the heightened national security due to recent terror incidents, organisers of the show have re-looked at their own security.

    Lincoln Castle has topped the polls as the most popular castle in the UK.

    It fought off competitors such as Edinburgh and Windsor to be crowned to champion with 43% of the vote.

    It got 5,166 votes, over 300 more than second place Bamburgh in the poll by Holiday Lettings.

    Hunt supporters say they didn't expect a free vote on fox hunting to be included in today's Queen's Speech.

    But campaigners say a hung parliament makes it very unlikely a vote would succeed.
