    Lara King

Car parking charges in Grimsby could go up and some underused car parks close.

It's as North East Lincolnshire Council consider plans to start a consultation, external into parking in the area.

The council's cabinet will decide next week if they will ask for your views on parking.

If it's given the go-ahead, residents will be asked if they want to see underused car parks like Burgess Street, Duncombe Street, Orwell Street and Wellington Terrace in Grimsby close, or if they should be used for other things.

An independent review into parking in the area is recommending the council increase car parking charges and ask people if they want their street included in residents parking schemes.

Lincolnshire County Council say they maintain areas where safety is a concern, but they do have to make savings.
