Two operations had to be cancelled at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston yesterday because of the heatwave.
The United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust says temporary cooling systems in the operating theatre couldn't cope with the high temperatures.
It meant implant surgery, like knee replacements, were at a high risk of infection and the surgeon decided to cancel the planned procedures.

ULHT say the cancelled operations will be rescheduled within 28 days.

People living in Lincolnshire say they're concerned about the state of overgrown verges in parts of the county.

Residents in places like Horncastle and Fishtoft say that the overgrown grass is covering up road signs and junctions, which could put people's lives at risk.
Some have got so fed up with the long grass they've decided to cut it themselves.
A highways spokesperson says the council funds two cuts a year at locations where overgrown grass could cause safety issues.
In some areas the work will be taken on by the district or parish council which might do more regular mowing.

Lincoln Prison is still struggling with over-crowding and violence, according to inspectors, but good work is being carried out at the jail.
During an unannounced visit, inspectors said violent incidents had increased, mostly because of the prevalence of drugs, and that the recent influx of inmates from other prisons was creating a challenging atmosphere.
Other areas of concern included education, death in custody investigations, and a failure to prepare inmates for release.

However, staff were praised for their good relationships with prisoners, progress is being made on reducing violent behaviour and work to make the prison cleaner and more decent was going well.
