    A man's been seriously hurt in a violent assault in Grimsby.

    Investigations are ongoing after police were called to Norfolk Court in Grimsby yesterday morning.

    A man was found with life-threatening injuries and taken to Hull Royal Infirmary, where he's now in a stable condition.

    The new boss of the Humber Bridge Kevin Moore (pictured) says he's considering putting on adrenaline activities on the bridge to boost tourism.

    Zip lining, abseiling and cable walking could all be run on the bridge - as part of a redevelopment that would also include a glass elevator to take people to the top.

    The final plans are expected by the end of the year.

    A Gainsborough woman who pretended she had cancer to con her Hull employer out of thousands of pounds has been ordered to pay back just £1.

    Kelsey Whitehead, who worked for Carbon Electric, was given a suspended twelve months jail sentence in March after admitting fraud totalling nearly £15,000.

    Lincoln Crown Court heard the 38-year-old from Lea Road had no available assets to seize.

    The hunt is on for extras to star in the latest Mike Leigh film, which is being partly shot in Lincoln.

    The casting team are after people from the city in particular to star in the movie.

    Lincoln is being used for part of the filming for The Peterloo Massacre - which looks back to when cavalry charged into a crowd of tens of thousands of pro-democracy campaigners in Manchester in 1819.

  10. RAF police officers in coast drugs oppublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 19 June 2017

    RAF Police officers from RAF Coningsby have been working with Lincolnshire Police over the past couple of days to test for drugs in Lincolnshire coastal resorts.

    It was part of Operation California and was carried out in Ingoldmells. Mablethorpe and Skegness..

    As a result a man was arrested for possession of cocaine.

    Inspector Colin Haigh says working with the RAF is something they hope to do more of.

  11. Questions raised over delays to fire inspection recommendationspublished at 15:57 British Summer Time 19 June 2017

    BBC Radio Lincolnshire has been told a fire safety report which recommended urgent changes at two wards in Louth hospital in January wasn't passed to managers at the site until last week.

    The Trust says the report was sent to the landlords, NHS property services.

    As soon as the Trust found out about the fire and rescue recommendations they toook immediate action, including moving 25 patients over the weekend.

    The director of nursing at the hospital says they want to know why the information wasn't shared with them at the time.

    NHS property services has not yet made any comment.

    Firefighter James Thorpe, 29, broke his neck in a freak accident on his stag party in Majorca last year.

    Ever since the firefighter has been undergoing specialist neurological rehabilitation in the hope he will be able to stand at his wedding to fiancee Michaela Watson next month.

    Carol Vorderman says she is 'thrilled' after Johnny Johnson, the last surviving World War Two Dambuster, was awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.

    Ms Vorderman set up a petition for Mr Johnson, who was born in Horncastle, to get a knighthood.

    The 95-year-old says he's happy with the honour he's been given.
