    Here's a selfie to be proud of for a jobbing actor.

    Steph Genovese helped found the county-based Holbeach Film Company, external but couldn't believe it when he found himself on set with Sir Anthony Hopkins.

    It all started when he went to an audition for a secret film called E75. He had no idea who was in it or what it was.

    A few months later, he was told it was Transformers 5: The Last Knight.

    He was on set for 48 hours in Southampton where he played "Large Submarine Man", alongside the famous actor.

    Everybody thought Mike Leigh was filming for his latest movie - The Peterloo Massacre - in Lincoln.

    But it turns out that it's actually in Gainsborough as these pictures sent into us by Malc Parr show.

    The film is described as "a drama based on events surrounding the 1819 Peterloo Massacre, where British forces fired on a peaceful pro-democracy rally in Manchester."

    It's thought film crews will be in Gainsborough until the end of the week...

    We've been speaking to Paula Brown, who took the pictures of the "wonky" bike road markings on London Road in Sleaford.

    Paula Brown spotted them as she was walking into town from her house and said she just decided to snap them on her phone as she walked past.

    Talks are ongoing between East Lindsey District Council and the Environment Agency over how to best get rid of algae which has forced the closure of a boating lake in Skegness.

    The blue green algae can be harmful to people and is especially dangerous to animals. It occurs naturally and is typically caused by warm weather.

  7. City magistrates court reopens after alertpublished at 12:20 British Summer Time 4 July 2017

    Lincolnshire Police say Lincoln Magistrates' Court has now reopened after a security alert.

    Staff and the public had to leave the building earlier this morning and specialist police were called in.

    Police say nothing was found and there was no threat.

    The High Street was also closed outside but reopened soon afterwards.

    The body of a man has been found in Scunthorpe by police in the area near Mary Street.

    Police were investigating reports that a man had been seriously injured in what was thought to have been an assault when they found the body.

    A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are serious but not believed to be life-threatening.

    Police have now launched an investigation.

  9. Outdated views on HIV fuel stigma and discrimination - Charitypublished at 11:54 British Summer Time 4 July 2017

    Would you go on a date with someone who has HIV? What about stopping in the street to give someone first aid - Would HIV make you change you mind?

    Apparently, loads of us still don't understand the virus and, according to the Terrence Higgins Trust, external, nearly a third of people in Yorkshire and the Humber region would be uncomfortable giving first aid to someone living with HIV on effective treatment.

    The charity is now warning that out-of-date beliefs about HIV transmission are fuelling stigma and discrimination, which prevents people coming forward for testing.

    Mick Mason, regional manager for the trust, says: "It is saddening to see that, in 2017, people in Yorkshire and the Humber are still being treated differently because of their HIV status."

    The chief executive of Gainsborough-based West Lindsey District Council Manjeet Gill has announced she's taking early retirement.

    She says she lost her son unexpectedly last year - something which has made her reflect on her priorities after seven years at the authority.

    The current leader of the council Jeff Summers has paid tribute to her service and said: “I am grateful that she returned to work so fast when we were in the middle of our devolution negotiations after her personal tragedy last year.

    "I also respect her judgment in deciding to step down now as I agree that it is the right time for the council.”

  11. Watch: Lincolnshire Lancaster Bomber back in the skiespublished at 11:24 British Summer Time 4 July 2017

    Here's the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Lancaster Bomber - airborne again after a major refit.

    The aircraft is currently undergoing tests with the Aircraft Restoration Company at Duxford Airfield in Cambridgeshire.

    The bomber usually lives at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire - and we're wondering whether the plan is to get it back to the county in time for a royal visit next week.

    The BBMF is celebrating 60 years - and Prince William will be at the station next Tuesday to launch the celebrations.

  12. Police appeal to trace relatives of deceased Scunthorpe womanpublished at 11:02 British Summer Time 4 July 2017

    Police are appealing for the family of a 42-year-old Scunthorpe woman to come forward.

    Deborah Anne Pulley was found dead at her home on Dryden Way in Scunthorpe on Saturday.

    Police say Ms Pulley's death was not suspicious and they've so far not been able to trace her family.

    Lincolnshire Police say officers are currently at the building.

    Grimsby's MP Melanie Onn (pictured) has raised new concerns about claims of poor management at the hospital trust which covers hospitals in Goole, Scunthorpe and Grimsby.

    She's asked managers at the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole (NLAG) NHS Foundation Trust to respond to allegations made to her in an anonymous letter which raises concerns about patient safety, treatment of staff and the way complaints are dealt with.

  18. Traffic and travel: Level crossing failurespublished at 08:49 British Summer Time 4 July 2017

    Rail services through Lincolnshire are being delayed because of a signal failure at 10 level crossings between Skegness and Boston.

    East Midlands Trains says it's because of a power cut at a signal box and means that all its trains between Boston and Skegness are cancelled.

    The company is running buses between the two towns and says engineers are on the way to try and fix the fault.

    There's concern the closure of a needle exchange in Sleaford will lead to more discarded needles being found on the town's streets.

    High street chemist Boots says it's been forced to shut its service after staff had to deal with increasingly difficult and dangerous situations.

    The decision's been made in conjunction with the drug support service, Addaction.

    Boots says it's working with the local authorities to find a long-term solution - but in the meantime people should use the needle exchange in Grantham.
