Plans have been announced for a new mental health unit for young people in the Humber region.
NHS England says the multi-million pound contract will see the development of a new mental health service, including 11 in-patient beds.
It follows a long campaign by dozens of parents whose children had to travel more than 100 miles for specialist treatment.
In 2013 the West End unit in Hessle (pictured) closed its inpatient beds, because NHS managers said they were no longer fit for purpose.
The proposed site would be near the centre of Hull and would work alongside the existing Community Child and Adolescence Mental Health Services.
