    Police officers want to talk to this man about an armed robbery in Lincoln earlier this week.

    He's 24-year-old Nathan Huntington and may be in the Worksop area.

    Police want to speak to him in connection with an armed robbery at Betfred Bookmakers in Woodhall Drive on the Ermine Estate on Tuesday.

    Organisers of this weekend's Woodhall Spa 1940s Festival say its going to be bigger than ever.

    The event, which began six years ago as a small village attraction, pulled in around 40,000 visitors last year.

    The event is run by volunteers who've had to employ a traffic management company to cope with expected demand.

    Two Lincolnshire Police officers have been given bravery awards at a ceremony last night.

    Sergeant David Wilson and Sergeant Iain McIvor were off duty when they came across an armed robbery at a jewellers in Newark.

    Two of Lincoln's Knights have been targeted by vandals overnight.

    The sculptures on the city's High Street were ripped from their concrete plinths and one was thrown into the River Witham.

    Police officers rescued the High Bridge Knight from the River Witham near Stamp End.

    Two men in their 20s have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

    New technology is being used at two "high risk" railway crossings in Lincolnshire.

    People using smartphones near the crossings in Lincoln and Spalding, will be sent a message asking them to concentrate.

    The crossings on Doddington Road in Lincoln and Mill Green in Spalding have been identified as "high risk" by Network Rail.

    They say near misses involving young people increase significantly over the summer months.

    A manhunt is continuing for a man who escaped handcuffed from police custody in Boston.

    Twenty-five-year-old Aurimas Butkys was being taken into the town's police station when he ran off.

    He'd been detained in connection with an assault in Lithuania.

    Supt Phil Vickers says they don't consider Butkys to be a risk to the wider public and anyone with any information is being asked to call Lincolnshire Police on 101.

    An ex-police officer and scout leader has been sentenced to life in prison for the rape and sexual assault of a boy under 13.

    William Wright, who's 30 and formerly of Townhill Lane, Bucknall, Lincolnshire has already spent the last seven years in jail after being convicted of a string of child sex offences in 2011.

    Wright was found guilty of a further eight counts of rape and sexual assault following a trial in May this year.

    Sentencing him, the judge described Wright as a dangerous individual, and told him that he must serve at least a further 12 years in jail before he is eligible to be considered for parole.

    It's emerged six children from the same primary school in Lincolnshire stand to be affected if the region's specialist heart unit closes.

    Parents in Sleaford have been speaking out just days before the end of the public consultation over the Glenfield unit in Leicester.

    The NHS says it needs to close the unit to ensure every patient gets the best possible care.

    Scunthorpe's Jack Burnell has flown out to Budapest for the World Aquatics Championships.

    2,500 athletes will be competing in more than 200 events over 17 days at five venues.

    Jack will take part in the open water 10k race.

    In 2016 Burnell was ruled out of the medals in Rio due to a 10k disqualification.

    However, in March this year he won Gold at the Marathon swimming World Cup in Abu Dhabi.

    More than 152,000 cigarettes and tonnes of illegal alcohol seized during raids in Lincolnshire has today been burned to create electricity.

    Lincolnshire Trading Standards says it's seized a total of 152,360 counterfeit cigarettes, 25kg of hand rolling tobacco and tonnes of illegal alcohol over the last 12 months.

    Emma Milligan from Trading Standards says its all been taken to a specialist recycling centre, where the cigarettes are broken down and mixed with foodstuffs and enzymes to create gas which is then burned to produce electricity, and fed into the National Grid.

  20. Nightclub assault information appealpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 13 July 2017

    Police have just released this CCTV image in a bid to trace a man who may have information about a nightclub assault earlier this year.

    The incident happened at Lincoln's Home nightclub back in February, external - when the victim was pushed from a bar stool injuring his back.

    Officers say it appears the attack was unprovoked.

    The man they believe may have information is described as being 6ft 3ins, of a large build, had short hair and was wearing a white shirt and jeans.
