We appreciate that the tariff we were on has a no cancellation, we understand that but we did give them three months notice and we're not looking to cancel them we're looking to move them to a different date. But to get this absolute flat response, there's no negotiating, there's no one to talk to about it hence going to social media.

  5. Boston farmer speaks out on leaked migration documentpublished at 17:52 British Summer Time 6 September 2017

    Barbara Stimpson
    BBC Radio Lincolnshire

There's been a mixed reaction to a leaked document which suggests the government is planning tight restrictions on immigrants from the European Union after Brexit.

British workers would get preference over those from EU countries in the jobs market following Brexit.

Firms would have to recruit locally unless they could prove an "economic need" to employ EU citizens.

Mike Capps employs migrant workers at his vegetable farm near Boston. He says it's been years since he took on anyone from the UK because they won't do the 'harder work':

    Quote Message

They don't seem to want to work out in the fields, when it's raining and if the weather's a little bit cold, the English don't seem to want it. Now this is what I was finding five, six years ago so our business turned, like the majority of South Lincolnshire farms, to migrant workers

    Mike Capps, Farmer

Theresa May told the House of Commons that voters want to see controls over immigration.

But some business leaders are warning it could damage the economy.

  7. Thames Ambulance service respond to criticismspublished at 17:07 British Summer Time 6 September 2017

    Hope Bolger
    BBC Local Live, Lincolnshire

Earlier today I told you about the issues in non-emergency transport to and from hospitals in Lincolnshire.

A member of staff from within the hospitals trusts told the BBC there's been problems since the Thames Ambulance Service Limited (TASL) took over in July, saying patients and staff face a "continuous nightmare."

Peter Titmarsh from Whaplode near Spalding missed his first chemotherapy appointment on Monday because Thames Ambulance didn't didn't turn up:

    Quote Message

I don't think they know what they're doing. They realised I'd got to be there on Monday at 09:30, and to get there at 12:00 is unbelievable. I don't understand what's happening.

    Peter Titmarsh

Regional Director for TASL, Sue Flintham, has now responded to these claims saying there have been early "teething problems" but they have worked work to address these.

She added the overwhelming majority of the 500 patient journeys it provides every day in the county are completed in a timely and efficient way.

More than 2,000 calls were made to Lincolnshire Police during 2015-16 over hare coursing and Ch Const Bill Skelly says it's hoped that using drones will help raise the number of convictions:
