    More now on the reports of a man on the roof of Morton Hall immigration removal centre over the weekend.

    The BBC has obtained footage of the incident near Lincoln, take a look:

    The Home Office confirmed there had been an incident but said it was resolved safely and no one was hurt.

    A five-month programme of improvement work has begun on paths along the coast of Lincolnshire.

    It's part of a £5.7m project to improve footpaths and cycleways.

    The Tour of Britain is due to arrive in North Lincolnshire tomorrow.

    Stage Three starts at Normanby Hall and finishes at Central Park in Scunthorpe.

    The race visits a selection of places along the route which will be hosting the event for the first time.

  4. Man dies after 'serious incident' in Cleethorpespublished at 10:27 British Summer Time 4 September 2017

    A 58-year-old man's died after being assaulted in Cleethorpes town centre in what police describe as a "serious incident".

    It happened outside the Studio Bar on Market Street at about 17:00 yesterday afternoon and involved several people.

    Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance was called, but the man died at the scene, police say.

    The market place in Cleethorpes was closed for some time after the incident as police carried out their investigations.

  5. Serious incident closes A180published at 10:18 British Summer Time 4 September 2017

    The A180 is closed eastbound due to an incident between M180 J5 / A15 / A18 (Barnetby Top) and A160 (Brocklesby Interchange, Habrough).

    Humberside Police are on the scene and it is anticipated that the road closure will be in place throughout this morning and possibly into this afternoon.

    It is causing extensive delays in the area.

    A diversion is currently in place. Motorists are being advised to use alternative routes if possible.

  6. Renewed witness appeal for fatal Haceby crashpublished at 09:45 British Summer Time 4 September 2017

    Last week a man was arrested after a fatal crash on the A52 in Haceby on Bank Holiday Monday.

    A white Suzuki motorbike and a black Ford Galaxy collided near to the Haceby Junction. A man died as a result of his injuries, and a woman in her 40s was taken to hospital for treatment.

    Now investigators say they want to speak to the occupants of "a light coloured modern styled Nissan Micra" that was travelling west on the A52 at around 17:50.

    The police say that they weren't involved in the crash in any way but may have witnessed it.

    The Home Office has confirmed there was an incident at an immigration removal centre near Lincoln yesterday.

    The BBC received several reports around midday of a detainee climbing onto a roof inside the Morton Hall facility.

    A Home Office spokesperson says an incident was resolved safely, with no injury to detainees or staff.

  10. Traffic and travel: Blockage on the A46published at 08:32 British Summer Time 4 September 2017

    Traffic is very slow on the A46 near Skellingthorpe this morning with delays over half an hour.

    A broken down lorry is causing problems in both directions between the B1378 Lincoln Road and the Doddington Roundabout.

    You'll struggle to avoid the area between Lincoln and Newark so allow for some extra time.
