    UKIP MEP for Yorkshire and the Humber, Jane Collins, is heading a four-strong alliance for the leadership of the party.

    Victory for the UKIP United leadership slate would see Ms Collins take the top job, with key roles for her former rivals.

    Eleven candidates were originally cleared to stand in the contest to succeed Paul Nuttall.

    The UKIP United team feared that splitting the vote could clear the way for a leader such as Anne Marie Waters, who has previously called Islam "evil".

    People living in North East Lincolnshire are being told not to put their bins out tomorrow to keep the roads clear, external for the Tour of Britain cycle race.

    It's the first time the county is hosting a stage of the race.

    The cyclists will set off from Normanby Hall, completing a 178-kilometre route which finishes in Scunthorpe.

    Thousands of spectators are expected to line course.

    Ninety-five workers at two Lincolnshire Co-op distribution centres are to lose their jobs.

    The sites at Pioneer Way and Whisby Road in Lincoln will close in a week's time.

    The decision comes after the company said it is moving delivery of some goods to a national centre in Nottinghamshire.

    Of the 111 people at the depots around 30 staff have found new jobs. The firm says the closures will save them £1m.

    The Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance is backing BBC Radio Lincolnshire's Save A Life campaign.

    Already more than 11,000 people have learnt how to do CPR as part of the push.

    The air ambulance crews attend cardiac arrest incidents as part of their work - and non-medical staff at the charity have been trained how to do CPR as well.

  8. Scampton Airshow hoping for some BBMF aircraft to displaypublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 4 September 2017

    You'll remember that currently the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight aircraft are grounded because of a fault identified with the Merlin engines.

    Well it's Scampton Airshow this weekend and the organisers have some good news for attendees.

    They've been in touch with the BBMF and they say that they're hoping that they'll have at least one Spitfire and a Hurricane in the air.

    The trust which runs Lincolnshire's main hospitals says its facing one of the biggest financial challenges in the NHS.

    United Lincolnshire Hospital NHS Trust's (ULHT) deficit now stands at £30.7m and the trust has now been placed in financial special measures by NHS England.

    Lincolnshire Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to talk to after a woman was attacked.

    The woman, who's in her 20's, was alone on the High Street when she was approached and then sexually assaulted by a man at around 03:10 on Monday 28 August.

    It is believed the offender may have then harassed other women in the area.

    Police believe the man in the picture may have information which could help their enquiries.

  14. Disruption continues on Northern rail servicespublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 4 September 2017

    There's more disruption on Northern rail services today, as members of the RMT union hold a second strike.

    Union members walked out on Friday and are continuing strike action today.

    The action's part of a dispute over plans to cut the number of guards on Northern train services.

    The majority of trains are expected to run until 19:00, with services on some routes finishing earlier.

    The overall number of trains operating will be "significantly reduced", according to Northern.

  15. Man dies in A180 collisionpublished at 12:49 British Summer Time 4 September 2017

    A man's died in a collision on the A180 in North Lincolnshire, police have confirmed.

    Emergency crews were called shortly after 05:30 to an incident involving three cars near Barnetby Top.

    The eastbound carriageway at the scene remains closed to allow collision investigations to take place.

    However, police say the road will be partially reopened shortly.

    The road closure has caused significant delays for motorists in the area.

    A man's been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of another man during an incident in Cleethorpes at the weekend.

    The man died at the scene of the incident which happened outside the Studio Bar on Market Street at about 17:00 on Sunday afternoon.

    Three more people have been arrested for offences related to the incident.

    Police are still asking for any witnesses to come forward.

    Some motorists have now been caught up in delays on the road for over three hours.

    This photo from the scene has been taken by one of our reporters who is stuck in the standstill traffic:

    The road was closed eastbound between Barnetby Top and Brocklesby Interchange this morning after a what is being described by police as a "serious accident".

    It's thought the road closure could remain in place into this afternoon.

    Police want your help to find 77-year-old Colin Critoph who's gone missing from his home in Long Sutton.

    They say he is in "an extremely fragile metal state and also suffering from potentially severe physical ill health" and are worried he's driven his car to the Walthamstow area of London.

    James Patrick Adam, 46, of Victoria Road, is charged with his murder.

    He's been remanded in custody and is due in court at the end of the month.
