    Lincoln City manager Danny Cowley says striker Matt Green will be ready to go against his former side Mansfield Town tomorrow.

    The Imps centre forward was suspended for Tuesday's win at Forest Green Rovers.

    Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information following two burglaries in Sutton Bridge.

    Both incidents took place on Chestnut Terrace, the first being on Sunday 3 September and the second on Wednesday 13 September.

    Officers are urging anyone with any information to come forward.

    The family friend of a teenage girl from Lincolnshire who died after a hairball in her stomach became infected is warning others who suck or chew their hair to stop the habit.

  10. Farmers face 'disaster' over migrant worker shortagepublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 15 September 2017

    Farmers in Lincolnshire are facing a "cataclysmic disaster" due to a shortage of migrant workers, it's being claimed.

    Recruitment agency boss John Hardman says the industry is "on a cliff edge" with uncertainty created by Brexit.

    The county - one of the UK's biggest food producers - is facing its worst staffing shortage in years, according to Mr Hardman.

    Some migrants have said they do not feel welcome in the UK, and are now considering their futures.

    Mr Hardman has told the BBC it's becoming increasingly difficult to recruit people as the winter season approaches: "We've not had a shortage like this in over 10 years."

    It comes after a recent leaked draft Home Office plan obtained by the Guardian, external said the government planned to adopt "a more selective approach" to migrant labour.

    A Home Office spokesman said ministers would set out their "initial proposals" for a new immigration system in the autumn.

  12. Witness appeal after three men assault teenage girl in Sleafordpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 15 September 2017

    Police are appealing for witnesses after a schoolgirl was assaulted by three men on her way to school in Sleaford.

    The 14-year-old was forced onto a track alongside Playhouse Yard, off Westgate, yesterday morning between 08:30 and 09:30.

    The girl managed to run away and was physically unharmed except for two minor grazes.

    Officers are asking anyone who has dashcam footage from the surrounding area to get in touch.

    It's sexual health week and people across Lincolnshire are being urged to get talking more openly about sex and related issues.

    Staff from Lincolnshire Integrated Sexual Health Service along with the Terrence Higgins Trust are touring hospitals and schools encouraging people to have more frank conversations about things like safe sex, pornography and consent.

    They're also able to carry out STI tests and discuss contraception.

    Advanced Sexual Health Practitioner Amy Brookes says this is about making people feel comfortable talking about these issues:

    Patients at a Lincoln doctor's surgery are receiving letters today about the proposed move of their practice.

    Lincolnshire West Clinical Commissioning Group took over the running of the Gresham Street branch of Cliff House Medical Practice after the death of Dr Ansari in January.

    The practice is now being reviewed and could be relocated to the practice's other branch on Burton Road.

  18. MPs call for more funding to help sexual violence victimspublished at 11:22 British Summer Time 15 September 2017

    MPs are calling for more funding to help the victims of rape and sexual assault across East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire.

    Back in June, the Hull and Grimsby charity Survivors - which provided long-term help to men and women who had been the victim of sexual assaults - closed due to lack of funding.

    But now Melanie Onn, the Labour MP for Grimsby, and Hull North Labour MP Diana Johnson say they hope a new service can be funded from the area.

    Ms Johnson says it's vital victims are offered support: "The key thing for me is that the government had allocated money to survivors - nearly £70,000 - and I don't want that money just disappearing."

    Both MPs are due to meet Home Office and health officials later as well as Humberside Police representatives to look at commissioning a new service for those facing trauma.

    What's being dubbed the UK's biggest beach clean event, external gets under way today.

    The Marine Conservation Society's (MCS) Beachwatch, external is a national beach-cleaning and litter-surveying programme.

    As part of this, Beachwatch volunteers and groups along the Lincolnshire coast are due to get their litter pickers out for the weekend.

    Tiny bits of plastic were the most common thing found last year, according to the society, but the amount of plastic bags on Britain's beaches fell by half, it adds.

    Paul Marshall, who's set up a group of volunteer beach cleaners in Skegness, says he hopes the clean-up will improve the local environment:

    A rescue helicopter which covers northern Lincolnshire has become one of the first in the country to carry blood on its emergency flights.

    It means doctors can give transfusions at the scene of an accident, rather than having to wait to get a patient to hospital.

    The Lincolnshire and Nottingham Air Ambulance responds to about 1,000 call-outs a year.
